A HUGE outbreak of storms is expected today across parts of the Midwest and into the Great Plains. Strong to violent, long-track tornadoes, destructive hail, and hurricane-force wind gusts are likely. Severe weather will continue through early next week across parts of the United States. A VERY active weather pattern will persist into early May. I'll breakdown everything that YOU need to know in today's weather forecast!

Already had tons of tornados yesterday, definitely might be the biggest streak of storms since 2011.

I wish people would stop saying the direction of tornado alley has changed, it lulls people into a false sense of security or fear, the weather and earth is ever shifting, you only need to go back and look at the history of weather here since the 1884 outbreak, before that us Native Americans recorded verbal stories and even some years on buffalo skin pictographs as the weather event being that noteworthy. I've been in 2 direct hits, Topeka 1966 F5, as a kid and again in Windsor CO 2008 F3 which relocated my roof down the street.. Mother nature doesn't need an explanation, she just is!.. but it's nice to have people like you, to at least have a better warning system.

I was raised in Greeley in the 70’s and 80’ loved it back then my dad had the welding shop in Windsor late 70’s early 80’s

I agree, it's a very small sample size. I remember the '74 Super Outbreak which was overwhelmingly Dixie Alley plus Tennessee and Ohio River Valleys, and even before my time the South has always been very tornado-prone. A trend over the last +/-40 years doesn't mean much compared to thousands of years that we have no records for.

I don’t know how people repeatedly survive these conditions. I give you a lot of credit. My head would be spinning faster than the tornado! 🌪️ A terrifying experience. We had a baby one years ago, I could not believe my eyes. Much love ❤️ be safe, all! 🙏😔🗽

@@tetuh5079I think the number of tornadoes in Oklahoma causes complacency, because people have been around it for years without it destroying their home. The problem is it only takes one time.

Southern/Western Iowa was... exciting... last night. Small bathroom, three great danes, you get the picture. Been helping neighbors to the west with clean up and catching livestock.

Weather like this especially for April 27th when we had 62 tornadoes that hit us in 2011 makes all of us scared. Hopefully these storms moving our way will dissipate before they get here. Stay safe everyone 🙏

You're welcome! Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible, mainly across South-Central Wisconsin later today into tonight. Damaging winds and large hail would be the primary risks. Although, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Stay safe!

I am 79 & raised in NE Ok. We had tornadoes to worry about year after year. Our farm lost very large maple & oak trees when I was 4. I do remember being shuttled in school to a safer area during the terrible tornadoes! 34 this AM IN C Oregon

Good morning, Hunter and everyone. Checking in from Wichita. I'm a bit concerned that Wichita is being left out of the moderate risk area. We have about 500,000 people in Sedgwick county. I think they are progging this a little too far east. Nevertheless, our NWS office and local TV meteorologists are watching this like hawks. Please, make your tornado safety plans now before this outbreak starts rearing its head. When this pops it's going to be fast and intense. Stay, safe everyone. 🤗🙏

Good morning sir only trust couple weathermen for today flint michigan it was explained Michigan has all the ingredients to be severe they say it's like a cake all ingredients there but no oven any truth to that?

Michigan has enough energy for severe weather today. Mainly damaging wind and large hail potential with any storms that develop in Michigan. A couple of tornadoes will also be possible, but the main tornado risk is across the Central and Southern Plains today.
