The Swedish tank tech in War Thunder is often heavily overlooked, at least at its lower tiers. One tank I rarely hear anyone talk about is the Strv m/42 EH medium tank. It has poor penetration, but it carries as much HE filler as the infamous IS-2. Basically, it one-shots everything.

Cool war thunder glitch: if you put spookston’s decal on the top of your tanks, you are 400% more likely to be targeted by CAS

Don't forget the Ho-I. It's aphe shell has 460 g of tnt filler. Nothing survives, even if you non pen.

@@HatOnaCrab It also has 12mm pen HE, so you can OP german Panzer 4 and 3 tanks by shooting their turret roof. HEAT on that thing should be a last resort. I always used AP or HE with it.

As someone who has only really played Sweden it's reassuring seeing Spookston having issues with penetration too. However seeing him get a bunch of kills with them anyways is not so reassuring but at least I know it's a skill issue

with out being savage, yeah it's a skill issue. find more tank sides, do a lot of research on where to shoot in the armory against your biggest problems, and forget the muscle memory for everything that came before it because the sabot pen on most of their stuff is a trap.

yesssss one of my favorite tanks. you should also look at the ikv 72, its got the same gun as the EH but at 1.7. its like a speedy mini SAV with -20° depression

@@Loplyfulthey use 2 Hungarian roundel, one is positioned normally and one is made smaller and tilted, or even just made one smaller and put it a bit offset

You should play the T-80 (the WW2 one) At 2.3 it has a very decent armour, good gun with quick reload, is pretty fast and gets scouting as well

I'm sorry but PRETTY FAST??? dawg its competition is the BT-7 and the T-28 which both go 3 to 4 times faster on leveled ground, have the same gun and 3 times the survivability (ufp of T-80 is really trolly tho i'll admit and spotting is nice, but that thing's the most passive tank in the low br russian bracket as there's way better tanks that use the same gun at the same br)

Hey spookston you should play the As-42/47 (yes I know you just played the AA version). The 47mm at 1.7 can obliterate pretty much anything. As a mediocre player I somehow managed to get a 10 kill match with it, so I think you would have some fun.

Fun fact about the m/42: There is no loader, only gunner commander and radio operator so even if you lose 2 crew the reload stays the same.

I remember spading this thing alongside the Ikv 73 I had just unlocked at the time, basically the same tank. It was not very good then, because it was at like 3.3 or something. Now, as I'm making my way back through early Sweden and Finland, spading everything as I go, I'm looking forward to giving these another try.

You should try the Sav m/43 (1944) it has the same gun as the EH but better for it's br (1.7) and it has 50mm of armor at 25 degrees. That thing is a beast when angled although you need to find the perfect point becuase of its angled side plates.

Another nuke tank would be the breda 501, nearly 400g of tnt and 152 mm of pen at 4.7. Very survivable, fast and quick reload

Hey spookston, you should play the Sherman 2 in the British tree. It's actually pretty good and has a really good aphe shell

You might enjoy the ELC BIS. At 6.0 it's very small and let's you hide in funny spots, reasonably mobile and it get's 300mm of HEATFS pen. It also has pretty ok gun depression and, hilariously, if it get's hit in the lower part of it's front plate it can tank 155mm HE rounds (and anything below that, obv)

Hey Spookston! I think that you should play the Turan III, it has decent armor, insane speed for a medium tank both fowards and backwards, and an amazing gun. It is my favorite tank in the game and has carried me through Tiers III and IV. Another tank i recomend is the italian M41M, for its Br it has a great gun and a nuke for ammunition (350g of explosive filler), its a lot of fun killing everything in one shot.

The fact the T18E1 is 3.0 is absolutely insane! I've had the tank for years and never played it until i saw you play it. Now its my favorite tank in the whole game and i almost exclusively bring it to 6.3 to give tiger players confusion. Its almost like playing a stealth game. Thank you for showing me this amazing tank, keep up the excellent work Spookston!

You should play the Zachlam Tager, it's TERRIBLE, but I love using it and each kill seems clip worthy. Got some double and triple KO's and even a heli kill

Attempt number 16 at getting Spookston to play any tank with a dozer blade, the catch is he has to dig in before engaging targets. Movement around the map is allowed, but he has to dig in again before reengaging.

I LOVE THIS THING, it feels so good to use and has been my main work horse for my Sweden line up because of how reliable it is even in an upteir, I also got my first game with it where i got like 8 kills which is the highest i have gotten so far, I was thinking of suggesting it myself but im glad someone else has before me (other than the Alecto 1 you should totaly try) (I think the fact i have only mainly played this game using the British tec tree and thinking of APHE as a distant dream helps also)

Play the Avenger! Great gun, the solid AP can generally one or two shot enemies, no matter their armour. It’s very fast, except in reverse.

Both the Ikv 72 and the SAV/m43 (1944) have this shell as well. Its even more busted at low tier, I have overpressured stuarts by hitting their MGs.

If you like this gun, you should play the IKV 72. It's a swedish tank destroyer with 20 degrees of depression and good mobility at 1.7--with the exact same gun and ammo. It was the backbone of my Sweden grind until I got a full 3.7 lineup

The Conqueror when hull down has a WILD armour profile. People often panic when they see it, allowing you to get first shot off. NGL it's my favourite heavy tank in the game

I know im late to this video by nearly a day but seeing this notification pop up made my day genuinely because when I was grinding the Swedish tree and got to this I expected mediocrity but was completely blown away by its performance. In an uptier, I was tanking shot after shot with minimal to no damage and then obliterating enemies with just the AP shell. The APHE only made this tank better. Its anything but EH
