I'd agree about the hooks being for small game. Pheasants, ducks, rabbits, that sort. Once gutted, the animals are hung with the skin and feathers on to prevent the meat from drying out as it ages. Conversely, it could have been for drying plants, whether herbs, or flax to make linen. There are also cases where boards were held up flat along those holders, and then stuff hung from the boards like herbs, pots and pans, baskets, and lanterns

Another great video. Thank you Ste and Griff. I love that when you hear or see something, you stop, listen to or watch, whatever caught your attention and discuss the possibility if it's paranormal or something logical, like the wind, a bird, etc. You even go above and beyond to note with captions when you come across something during editing to explain a sound you couldn't quite make out during the investigation filming (e.g. Ste or Griff bumping up against something and making a noise). Then, to top it off, you provide as much background info as you can about the site you're investigating, which is interesting in and of itself. This is what the judgmental people and sceptics need to realize, instead of making unfounded accusations. I'm a loyal fan for life! ❤

The hooks could be for tons of things depending on the season. My Nan used to hang flowers, mainly lavender& herbs from the garden to dry. She also used to hang bedding if the weather was crap lol.

What is a fruit corner and a Yazoo? I was born in the UK but I came to Australia as a child so a LOT has changed I imagine! I think the hooks were for hanging game and ham hocks, my grandmother had them in her larder years ago.

The hooks in the ceiling and walls I wonder if they were for hanging game such as pheasants, as they were hung for days before cooking. The wooden racks we noticed on the wall I wonder if they were used in days of old as a gun rack. Just thoughts but have worked in country estates years ag in the uk and seen similar.

You guys ought to check out a cottage in the lakes, Bridge End in Longsleddale. Stayed there a few years past with my partner for a week whilst hiking the area & had some very strange & spooky occurrences. Checked the guestbook & there were a lot of comments from other visitors suggesting they too encountered similar happenings as they all said the same: ‘this place is haunted’ & ‘we think there is a ghost here’.

I think those hooks were used to hold long planks of wood across the ceiling. Those planks could've had hooks on to dry herbs, maybe utensils, clothing or meat. But I don't think those hooks were used for meat etc.

My guess would be that the hooks were in part of an abattoir set up? Used for hanging either pigs/cattle/chickens - even inside - it would have been a valuable thing - the meat that is - so you wouldn’t just leave them in a barn maybe? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have an interesting story with the Ghostube app. Sometimes I turn it on just for curiosity but think nothing of it… About two months ago me and my boyfriend were in our garage he was on his knees beside the car I was a bit further sitting in a chair. Ghostube was on. On his right side there were 2 sets of wheels and a bumper on top of them. Maybe we didn’t place the bumper correctly as it suddenly fell off on my boyfriend. He jumped not to be hit by it. The Ghostube app exactly as it fell said RUN! Coincidence? I don’t really believe in coincidences but maybe it was.. since that night I more aware of what the app says.. interestingly sometimes it is very active in our apartment and says a lot sometimes it’s not..

Those hooks in ceiling beams would be used for hanging salted hams for them the cure before being cut and used for bacon, these could off been eaten straight from the ham or fries or grilled. Lovely tasting ham but very salty
