@@GusLascola So long as we stay on the same medium (television, 2d surface, etc), it shouldn't really change too noticeably. @GusLascola4 роки тому

Tiger was fearless in his 20’s and attempted those impossible shots because his body was much more limber and forgiving. The combination of building muscle mass, applying that crazy torque and an aging body add up to a wrecked back. He paid the price for his reckless youth but gave us some incredible and historic golf moments. Thanks Tiger. 👍🏼
@drew14673 роки тому
Read the latest biography on him by Jeff Benedict. Really delves into his whole life story and gives an excellent glimpse into WHY and HOW his body broke down and what he did to avoid it, ignore it, then finally deal with it and treat it. Amazing read that was the only thing keeping me up at night during long overnight stints as an air traffic controller.
@ericday4505Рік тому
I truly believe this, if Tiger just kept his regular body ; the body he had in the early years of his success, like in 97 thru 2000, or so.. Tigers body began to look like that of a strong safety, around I think about 2005 or 06 and he still had wins left in him , but I don't think he ever reached the majestic heights that he reached in 2000-2002, It seemed that when his body was that of a regular golfer, he was other worldly, when he bulked up his game just never reached those levels like in the beginning.

If he hit the ball into the rough he'd take out a pound of sod on his next swing to get the ball to the green. It work most of the time. That violent swing and overall approach to the game didnt lend itself towards having a long career. Same goes for Gronk, he never ran out of bounds, he always gave every play 100 percent effort which drove me nuts. What’s the thing about stopping mid-swing?
@8823samuel4 роки тому
You really think its possible to stop a 120 mph club head swing after the downswing started? Come on! He obviously decides to stop before he starts the downswing
@TheClassicWorld3 роки тому
@@8823samuel No, they actually are capable of those kinds of feats. For example, Tiger, Jack, and Bobby have all re-adjusted on the downswing for a different kind of swing at full speed with drivers, and I even saw a TM video where DJ and the other guys were shouting out swings where they had to re-adjust on the downswing (not with the driver, though) -- and they were only about 50% accurate doing that, though. It's not easy or good, but it's possible. You're not talking about average pros here, you're talking about world-class athletes with perfect brain-to-body connections and muscle fibres and reflexes, and Tiger is the best of the best. Why would he have decided before the swing -- you either swing or you don't. That makes zero sense. You heard his comment afterwards: 'I literally felt like I broke every bone in my body doing that.' Having said all that, I would hate to see him do it more than once, that's for sure.

I am so lucky that I got to watch tiger and his prime however I am glad that Nicklaaus still has the record

652 yard hole stuck on two with drivers that spun 2,000 rpms+ higher than today. If he had his TM driver of today back then his distance would have been unreal.

Brandon Gavin Thats the downhill 16th at Firestone. Bubba hit one 430 there one year. Driver 4 iron. Yes they were two big hits by Tiger but the hole plays 60+ yards shorter because of the downhill.

Man In Black I know exactly what hole it is and it’s still a massive hit with that tech.

Mike Yip Tiger has talent skill and something the other players don't have "A GIFT". Ur coach media commentors parents can't give you that gift!!! 50 wins by 30 yrs old, there won't b another plyr like him in our lifetime. Imma enjoy him still cause he's the BEST that ever did it. U got other golfers to watch go ahead, as 4 me it's TIGER EVERYDAY ALL DAY 😊😊🐅🐐

I'm not sure which heading this falls under, but I seem to recall in one of Tiger's victories he ended up on a green that had a planter smack dab in the middle of it and that planter was right smack dab between Tiger's ball and the hole; the commentators noted that the club rule was that you could only use your putter on the green, and, yet, Tiger took either a wedge or an iron (don't recall which) and very neatly pitched his ball over that planter and right into the hole....mind you, ON THE GREEN, and he didn't leave a mark! Would love to see that clip again!

I miss the old early 2000's Tiger when he wore those buffy pants MC Hammer style. He was so fun to watch.
