I feel like this teaches materialism.

I understand the concept but bribing children with expensive things is wrong and the ending where she was mad at him until he bought her an iphone which ended up making her happy is just wrong. I've been through this. My mom treats my siblings like royalty while I get treated like garbage. I had all A's and always did my homework shoot I was even on the dance and cheer squad and still didn't get her love. My siblings are druggies, alcoholics, and drop outs and she cares more about them. She takes them out to eat, to the movies, vacations, and everywhere else. I'm now 21 married with a son and she still does this. She only wants something to do with me if it has something to do with my son. Let's just say my husband doesn't like her. Ohh and she even GAVE me away.
