Hey Kris, just an FYI from a mechanic. The baby with a hacksaw scene was completely safe. The parents had the forethought to turn the blade around and adjusting INSIDE the object to be sawn. The portion of the blade facing towards the child posed no danger as that side of the blade is blunt. Hope that clears anyone's conscience

About the hacksaw clip, it looks to me like the father has removed the blade, slipped it through the toilet seat, reversed it and reattached it to the saw backwards. You can see it's cutting outwards, away from the child, not inward, meaning the edge of the saw blade facing the child is the smooth one. They're fine - the only thing they really risk here is getting smacked in the face by the moving handle.

Just wanted to say that, as a preschool teacher, using the hacksaw like that is probably safer than trying to use scissors. That plastic is thicc, and scissors are gonna flick around and maybe even hit the kids eye but the edge off the hacksaw blade that was facing the kid is blunt so even if he had throw his forhead at it damage would have been minimal. The other alternative would be to heat it and melt the plastic and that would be even more dangerous.

The hacksaw was actually pretty well done. If you look closely, the sharp part of the blade is pointed away from the baby so as long as the baby doesn't grab the blade and the dad uses the tool properly, the baby won't get hurt

Hey Kris, just to let you know, a Hack Saw can have the blade reversed so when the dad was cutting his kid out of the toilet seat, the sharp part is actually facing away from the baby so there is no risk of the kid getting cut, and thats why the saw was working its way out towards the dad and not inward towards the kid. Hey Kris, great video as always, funny and makes everyone in a good mood. I just wanted to clarify something though. In the toilet seat sawing clip at 11:28, the hacksaw’s blade was turned inwards and the dad was sawing from the inside out so the kid was pretty much safe. If he saw from the outside towards the kid’s face, then it would have been extremely dangerous. I hope nobody is that dumb to do that. Anyways, just wanted to point that out. Love from Mauritius. yeah, my mum never believed my broken bones either, in fact, funny stories; 1. She left me outside in the snow after coming out to yell at me, not once, but twice! because her flippin' dinnerparty was more important than my pain (I had broken my leg and couldn't move. I laid there for over an hour). And 2. She insisted that I was "overreacting" and refused to take me to hospital another time, my dad finally convinced her about 3 weeks later, and x-rays confirmed that my shoulder and elbow were both broken. No wonder I'm in therapy at 37 years old, and my best buddy is my dog Nezha (a shetland sheepdog, 2 years old).
