YES! I love this musical because 1: it has killer music, it’s an amazing show!!!! 2: IT HAS ACCURATE LGBT+ REPRESENTATION AND A LESBIAN COUPLE AS THE MAIN CHARCATERS!!!! It’s just amazing (Also Alyssa is a dream role of mine)

Same, I had heard of the musical but never got into it until a week ago. A clip of Andrew Rannels singing "Love Thy Neighbor" popped up in my recommended, and I immediately loved it.

The musical has the advantage of not having James Corden in it this is a big plus

yeah, the movie was an adaptation of the live show! they left out quite a few really good moments, so if you get a chance for the original while it’s on tour then you should definitely see it!

You should go see The Prom and leave after the first act. Emma is the protagonist, and her girlfriend has a bigoted mom who is the head of the PTA that plans a second prom for all the straight kids to go to. Emma shows up to what she thinks is the prom but is humiliated by an empty gym instead. You'd love it!!
