I have an 200kg payload 6-axis robot with an plasma cutter or belt grinder in my workshop😅 (but we also use it for actual jobs and not only car parts😂) next it will cut two aux-tanks

That’s a great idea! Campers now are overpriced junk in many cases… I just watched my dad have to spend hours of his time to fix all the little things that Keystone did not care to do right the first time. Theirs is a $125k toy hauler mind you.. still no better on quality! I’d buy a rig from this couple any day!!

@@grumpyken9151 A two car garage, with self taught skills, where we didn’t outsource a single thing on the build. I’d say that’s pretty “do it yourself”...

Practice.....makes perfect Skills easily learned...threw mistakes

SO true! We outsourced quite a few things before we were able to afford buying the leaf brake. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! 👊🏻

To be fair, It's not hater to say this isn't exactly a run of the mill DIY lol. Even using your example of having someone else do the plasma cutting for you you're still looking at 20 grand plus in supplies, a bare minimum of 5 grand if you buy a used truck or closer to 20-30 grand if you get closer to what they used, thousands more in tools beyond what an average home owner would have and the thousands in costs to have someone else do the cutting and bending of all the metal, plus months of time and a location and enough space conducive to building it. I think those are pretty valid excuses for the average watcher not doing it lol. Shit even with having most of the stuff they have in this video (minus the brake and the CNC table or the sewing machine lol) I'd still kill to have a nice detached garage like that to work out of and I still consider myself blessed lol. It's not hating, these 2 are clearly of a whole nother level when it comes to skills and they have the money to be able to wield those skills into something that's freaking amazing. That's just facing reality, that's not hate. I consider my self a capable DIY'er who's reno'd 3 homes so far and a lot of what they do here would take me a few years to get to that skill level, and probably another grand or two in tools. I tip my hat to these guys, I'm glad they had the money to be able to flex their minds and make something out of it, and to the folks that can't spend 30-50 grand on a pet project, start small. Get a 3D printer, get a welder, get some woodworking tools, get something and make something for yourself. As this video proves, DIY is a sliding scale and it doesn't have to be an epic off road camper to be cool :)
