Hey, I saw this other bus and they put their shower in the kitchen floor. It was super creative and saved space cause it was like a hole in the floor, that was covered by the normal floor wood, and when they were ready to shower, they just opened the cover, pull up the shower curtain, it was magnetic, so it stuck to the ceiling. it didnt wet up every where and u can probably use ur same kitchen hose/pipe that u have. just an idea so you dont always have to use public showers.

LD Akers people build showers into sprinter vans and stealth vans so you can defo get one in a small skoolie

I saw that one as well. It was the bus with the cool colored stove right? I also saw one couple make their shower in their stairwell. They made sure their steps were really sealed, put new rubber on them , put a shower curtain up and let the water drain right out of the crack at the bottom of the door! I thought that was a genius us of space on a short bus!

You sure have made the most of your space. I have followed 'Less Junke, More Journey' and watched their little girl grow up in a RV..They are now in a Airstream but it appears they don't have a whole lot more space than you for a family of 3 and growing. You said this was a one year adventure and with appears to be a efficient plan in managing your space, I would bet it will be an adventure you will never forget. Great video! Love the creative ideas y'all incorporated into the design. I love how the wood countertop is made from strips, that you used a locking file cabinet for clothes, how helpful magnetic surfaces can be, etc. I learned so much. Thank you!

Sorry to blow you up with so many questions, we actually just had to sell our bus ourselves. We are downsizing to a van conversion. Had to change plans from full timers to weekend warriors. So now I gotta live through others until I'm back out there haha! Wishing you the best!

@@illbeyourstumbleine The unofficial name I have given the bus is "The Balls" because of the expression "grab life by the balls". Last month I came to Oregon to camp host until October but that job sucked so I quit and I'm kinda trying to figure out what to do. Right now I'm leaning towards just saying "screw it!" and exploring the Pacific Northwest until October. If you're interested in seeing pics of the bus, the owners featured in this video have an IG called greenbusandus. After they sold it they lived in a tear drop camper and now they're in a Sprinter van. The couple they sold it to (who then sold it to me) have an IG called _rivers_and_roads. That couple now lives in a regular house.

Awesome, don't see too many interviews of truly short buses that are aesthetically pleasing too. Too many bus conversions are way too big and for stationary living. With this size you can do both with less hassle. Very clean look :)

Love all the innovative touches to this rig. Great use of all the magnets. Very smart method of turning the bench into a crib. Also, I have never seen the shelf hangers used to convert the table into a bench. I checked out her ETSY page and she does beautiful work.

Wow, beautiful build. I have to suggest, if it's not already, your daughter's seat built needs to be anchored to the frame of the bus. Imagine the bus in a rolling accident. That wooden bench may detach, objects could bounce around in the cab, etc. There's a proper way to install seatbelts, and anything less is a hazard.

Another super handy thing about that sink faucet squirter is that if somebody creeps up in the window you can just squirt them right in the face “POW! Right in the kisser!” 👍👍👍

I was wondering if anyone else caught this: they had a cute little sign that said " be a kind human respect the earth" and then they repeat themselves saying they don't care where the sink water drains or that they go outside to the bathroom when boondocking. Both are a big no no for nomads, travelers, boondockers, whoever. That waste (all types actually) needs to be taken care of correctly. Being new at this no one probably told them this. So, please be aware now. Nice home!!

And sink water is gray water, not black water.... no big deal as long as they use the right cleaners.
