Like in marching band a senior or a upper classman would choose a senior to adopt you as a like thing to help you out and actually at my old school before I moved it was middle school night and one of the Juniors who was going to be a senior adopted me as her freshman for next year but since I moved I couldn't see her anymore so that's sad.
