I got to see Swollen Members open up for The Arsonists, in Providence, back in 2001. It was an extremely small venue and as such, I was able to meet and converse with Madchild. He was such a cool, down to Earth individual, who really appreciates his fans. At the time, I spent so much of my free time listening to artists from the Battle Axe label. Guys like LMNO, Buc 50, and Mr. Brady. Such great memories. Madchild has done so much for underground hip-hop. It's nice to see him get a little recognition finally, even if it's waaaay past due, and still not as much as he deserves.
