The comfort zone is a myth, it's more like a death zone...it will KILL YOU slowly. I say, don't think, not on this type of stuff...just do...do what you know you need to do to improve yourself no matter how you "feel" because otherwise, you will always be trapped in that death zone AKA the comfort zone.

Time and tide will not wait for any person. That means we must pay attention to how new technologies, and specifically AI, will make it easier for companies to become more efficient. Simply, this companies may not need a lot of workers, your bank may not need many staff. Your insurer may not need many workers. And the list keeps growing.
@RickMckee-nq4ni
@RickMckee-nq4ni 10 місяців тому
It has nothing to do with AI. Economic distress in America is enormous. Many banks have gone under. Inflation is biting harder. Ukrain miscalculation is obvious. Facebook has been using AI in most of its features and products for more than 15 years now, so Ai has nothing to do with it. They embarked on unprofitable projects. And over hired. Apple has never laid off employees despite the economic downturn. They did well in hiring and never had failed projects. Metaverse failed. Gaming projects failed. Fintech, Lira failed. In the last 20 months, Sanbberg left, nobody is there to "tame the lion" Most Tech companies went woke: hired talents in order to prevent competitors from having access, they kept them idle, just to hijack a pool of talent. Over hired without proper assessment and protection. The existing projects couldn't turn in expected revenue, even before inflation war in USA set it. Let's put it in perspective without blaming AI. 95% of big tech have been using AI in the last 15 years. Building a passive income is a real hedge against inflation. Such is a thing that won't fail when the govt and the big tech fails.

It's not dumb, Your Teacher. We all have motivation, else we wouldn't be depressed or distressed about our situations, but how much does it really help? - Don't fat people have motivation to lose weight? Don't poor people have motivation to make money? Yes they have! - And yet, most people don't up their game and actually act on the things that would improve their lives - even when they know exactly what to do. Kind of like running a marathon. Most of us could, and we also know how to do it - it's just one leg in front of the other - and yet, very few of us actually do it. She's spot on.

That is awesome. My dad grew up in the very cold Midwest. The only food they had was what they grew on the farm. Nine kids, and a dad who beat the boys regularly. My mother told me after he died that he would not wear shorts bc of the scars on his legs. He once had milk spilled on him while milking their cow, and wore the same clothes all week. Apparently no other clothes were available. Wore 2 left shoes to high school bc that’s all he had. He pulled himself up, borrowed money from his kind sisters to buy an old car, then again to go to college working full time with a wife and children at home. No student grants. No military benefits, bc he was in a terrible accident and lost part of one hand. Graduated, and went on to have a government career lasting over 30 years. When unmotivated, I try to remember what my father did, and for my heritage. Honestly when I’m feeling lazy or feeling sorry for myself, I don’t. Even if you are unmotivated, please remember that you-you-are worthy. ❤

Over the years I’ve told close friends of several and to see them succeed on my idea has placed me in an emotional rut. It felt like a breach in confidence going behind my back to spearhead something they never thought of and ending a lifelong friendship over monetary gain without my inclusion. I no longer share my ideas but hoard them silently without action for fear of rejection or failure, especially financial failure. I can truly relate to this interview wholeheartedly.

My high school swim coach taught me that same lesson!!! At a championship meet, 30 years later I still recall the moment as I looked up at him and told him how scared I was. He looked at me and firmly said, Brandy you’re not scared. You’re excited. I dropped my jaw in confusion and have spent the rest of my life remembering it once it registered. Amazing advice. Amazing that you have that bond with your son. How beautiful!!!

I haven't even read The 5 Second Rule yet (ordering it now!) and I can already tell Mel had to hold her past thoughts, emotions, and perceptions outside of herself to observe them carefully in order to write this book. That alone makes it a masterpiece. Thanks so much for this interview. It's helping me get through a seemingly difficult week.

The book wasn't all that inspiring though... someone like JP promotes his book by teaching deeply about all he wrote about and expands on it further in lectures and discussions. Hell that's just 1 person and there's many more online. Me thinks you just like how she talks yes?

I have a smartphone which i switch off 1.5 hour before bed time and left downstairs and only keep the old phone for alarm and emergency calls. I also have a landline one set downstairs and another in the spare room upstairs that number is ex directory so only my close family have it. The smart phones and access to social media is destroying children's mental health and their social well being. Yup! I went to “two” Wal’s today. Target had nothing for rabbits. First Wal had stuff for 🐇 , but not what I wanted. So took “5” minutes to unload my car at home. Then “5” second decision to get back into my car and blast off to a second Walmart >> and they had lots of rabbit paper liter 😊

The 5 second rule name is perfect actually. This is the first time I've listened to anything longer than what you share on Instagram. I am just discovering your wisdom Mel. Thank you Tom for this forum. The truthfully the food 5 second rule is the same type of lack of hesitation! When you drop it you decide quickly, despite the possible consequence of a germ, blah blah blah, I'm going to instantly carry on, you pick it up and you keep moving.

I am truly blown away by this video. I feel it’s an awakening and will be rewatching it a few times as my starting point. She spoke to me on a level and I finally feel like I can help myself using these tools to get back up from the rock bottom my life has hit after what I thought was a life destined to fail with such bad luck and listening to others advice not myself enough ,, not using these tools shutting the world out to cope now after so much has gone wrong , but now I feel i can get back up. I will be researching more on the amazing Mel Robbins and also want to say that the interviewer here was great too very engaged and allowed her to freely talk and explain it all so well. Thank you to both of you for this life changing information 🥰 much appreciated.

Silvia Tunnell THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST the worst video I have ever seen. Motivation exist for a reason n ill explain: When you don't have a reason/purpose to get out of bed there is no drive/MOTIVATION. One needs a reason why they made a decision. Motivation will fail you sometimes bc you lack REASON/PURPOSE. You dont wake up with a reason then decision without the force inbetween called MOTIVATION. So for her to say is garbage is utterly false and should get back to her education. When she sat in bed depressed crying over life happens, COURSE THEIR IS NO MOTIVATION, you lack strength n courage n reason to your future vision. PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO THIS GARBAGE VIDEO.
@musicislove90
@musicislove90 6 років тому
jay dotcom I think you misunderstood her point. What she's really saying is that motivation isn't something that's gonna magically hit you and change your life. Your drive to do things is in your own hands. A lot of people will complain that they don't have the motivation to do something that could make their life so much better, but the reality is that motivation is something you have to create- it's not going to come out of nowhere. People have more control over a lot of situations than they realize and they'll use a lack of motivation to explain why they haven't done something yet. Her main point is that you just have to do things instead of sitting around waiting to feel motivated. Don't think about it- just get up and go.
