Nothing better than a deep voice threshold in the recording business. Most people can sing high. Very very few a stay even and powerful in the low register. It’s a gift. She can start low on verse one and by the end she’s in the stratosphere. Owning it. Every song!

It's not based on how high and light your voice sounds although nothing wrong with having a light upper register if ya got it flaunt it but having a low register shouldn't automatically mean you can't sing

That entire album had me in a chokehold. I was breaking up with boyfriends I'd never had coz i was like 11. But 'I don’t want to' is my favourite. I know it doesn't make most people's fave list but it's such a simple song and it's just her voice packing a punch with the simplest music behind her and all that emotion- makes me feel like my mans really left even when he's right there with me 😂

I remember always being teased about my deep voice. I remember my music teacher always telling me to hush because I didn't sound like the other children. So I've always been kinda self conscious about the tone of my voice. So I had to develop my own voice, all kids don't sound like Minnie Mouse when they sing.
