3:47 is fantastic. Not because the arduino is being used as a simple midi device (pretty straightforward coding), but this guy taught himself how to play his own invention.

Pretty cool stuff, and elaborate too... (I bought an arduino a while back, but the only music thing I've tried with it is just to hook a speaker to an output pin and use the tone() command. the sound reminds me of that old beepity-blip music the 1980's IBM PC's used to make)

How do people figure out how to do this kind of stuff? Like the floppy drives and stepper motors. How do you figure it how fast it has to go to make what kind of noise? Or even with the tesla coil?

The guitar is cool. What if there was a midi controlled guitar? like you play midi keys/chords and it plays it on the guitar real time. That would actually be a dope product I would definitely get.
