Cause the boat "doc" sounds like dock or wharf, doesn't it? But I suggest new explanation for your third example joke: Dad, I'm hungry. - Hi, Hungary, I'm Dad! (hope this seems fun), thanks for the lesson 😉

Hi Vanessa. Maybe the answer is that "doc" is the short form of doctor, the place where we (and the boats, it seems!) go when we are ill. But "sick" sounds a little bit like "sink" and "doc" sounds like dock, the specific area for boats. Is this right?

Thanks for your jokes explanation. We've learnt a lot of vocabulary. The last joke plays with the similar pronunciation between doc = doctor and dock=enclosed area of water in a port for the loading, unloading, and repair of ships.
