The thing that buggs me about most of this is that they weren't scandals. When french president Macron wore a made-to-measure vest while adressing a protest I understood the reaction of the people . Hell, I can even see a few of the things that were criticized here not as scandals but as things someone with such power just shouldn't be doing because being human is not part of the deal of being the elected leader of the US BUT none of these were about his policies or ANYTHING else he really did as a political figure (visiting NY in a private jet for example for personal reasons is not something I'd like to see a president do not matter his party alligeance; because it's expensive and that's it) but all in all his opponents failed to bring the real issues of his presidency to the publics attention (none nearly big as Trumps though but still very much existent) and (imo) it just hurts the political debate when all the media does is talk about the person and not the president.
