As a 6.3 guy who cant dunk, i watched this through a waterfall of tears.

I’m 5’9, I found this video in February 2020 and couldn’t dunk. September 2020 hit my first on 10ft rim, now it becomes easy. This vid is my motivation and I keep training to do more 😁... thanks 🙏🏾

Don't get me wrong every single one of these guys are amazing but, the one that really impressed me was Melvin Lee at number 7. You're talking about a guy 5'5", in a game, taking someone off the dribble, going down the lane and throwing it down over 3 people. I mean, DAMN!

The 5'2 guy used the Olympic high jump technique - very impressive.

Being able to leap like this seems like a kind of magical power to those of us who can't. I played a lot of ball back in the day and I still sometimes literally have dreams where I can jump like this. Kudos.

I'm 6'3" and in "high school" I could just barely dunk with all my effort. I'm 43 now. God knows how I got here... I went on a court last week and could just barely touch the rim (quite impressive given a 25 year break and 80 extra pounds!!) I've set myself a target to dunk again... will be an awful lot of work to do it. My first target is to grab and hang on to the rim. Will update on progress!!

I'm 5,6 just turned 14 today but still trying to dunk I can almost touch the rim but it takes time I mean I can't count how many months I've been training my jump for but what keeps me going is knowing that I'll find it worth it in the end

Big props to these dudes. I'm a little older, but it gives me hope that I can possibly throw a dunk down if I start training again. I used to JUST miss touching the rim when I was like 19. I think my vertical was around 33"-36". Which begs the question, why are these dudes approximate verticals not posted as well? Stay healthy ballas! Cheers!

That’s some serious spring maaaaan that’s amazing. I’m 5’7” and 43 years old, trying to get up there I’m not too far from the rim but man it’s going to take some serious work to even get to touch it let alone get a ball over it. Huge respect.

5:01 has got to be the most beautiful dunk ever

in 1985 I was in 11th grade and could dunk at 6'1. That was unusual at the time, as there were not many players dunking at that height. However, the following year, Spud Webb won the dunk contest, and within just a few short years there were tons of under 6 ft players dunking the ball. I suppose gave Spud gave folks confidence.

I'm 5'8'' and I used to have a 48" vert. Let me tell you it takes a huge toll on the body. Not just the power exserted to go up, but us short guys fall further and it's not easy.

Agility and athleticism , not to mention years of hard work beats hight hands down. I'm 6'4" and done my first dunk at 16 years old at 6'2" after months of practice. I take my hat off to these guys , fantastic. Currently trying to dunk again after 20 years off ! Nearly 40 years of age . Gravity's a bitch but I'm not over the hill yet , I will dunk again and use these guys as inspiration!
