And don't forget: in 2013 juries wanted her to qualify but the public didn't. In 2014 public wanted her to qualify but the juries didn't. (In the end it didn't matter thankfully)

@@davidmaresginer6592 Sugar is definitely a good song. Some didn't like the mix of styles, probably the same people who hated Icebreaker. But it was very generous musically. The staging and prep for the performance was subpar, Moldova isn't rich I guess. But it's a song contest, the MV is great, and the live on tape was better. Natalia had fun I just wish she had more support there.

If I remember correctly, Ieva got something like 5 12s in the televote in 2018 (in the final). EDIT: Yes, it was 5, and only Israel got more than Lithuania (8). Ieva got 2 more 12s than "Fuego" did!!

@Sir Stevia It is not an opinion, just ask any musical expert, I actially quite enjoyed the studio version, but I try to be objective. The juries should have blanked entirely, 25 points were too much for that terribile, non-existant vocals

Her entry was very unpredictable. People either loved it or hated it. There was no inbetween (I personally don't know how you can hate Loin d'ici). And you can clearly see that in the voting. Zoe wouldn't qualify with the jury results (11th place) but got 2nd place in the televoting from the semi final. This repeated in the final when she scored top 10 in the televote and 3rd to last with the jury's. Maybe she was low in the odds because the bookmakers thought austria wouldn't do well after the nul points in the previous year.

It was predicted to qualify, but its winning odds were very low.

Also 2014, 2018 but in a smaller degree. 2021 on the other hand has to be the most predictable year ever.

I think 2011 was the most open year, like no one would idea that Lithuania not just will qualify but also winning the juries on their semi, whilst the winner that year, if we based on split juries/televotes, it will scored less than any entry in top 4 of 2022. Also all except Switzerland would scored more than 100 points that year.

Karma was predicted as 9th most likely song to qualify from Semi Final 2, so Odds actually predicted Albania to qualify for once. And yes, Albania is really underrated

@@achnix3167 Karma was predicted to qualify even before rehearsals, while Khteju Tokes was predicted as a qualifier at first, but then odds dropped it from 9th to 13th place. Mall was never preficted to qualify tho. Anyway, we can all agree Albania is the most underrated country in the odds, I love so much their entired in 2018, 2019 and 2021: all in my personal top 10!

I think Slovenia shouldn't have qualified, while Serbia totally deserved in 2018 and 2019. I don't like Serbia 2021, but I get why they did qualify.

@@Escuniverse4168 Yes, Nevena was definitely a deserved qualifier, but I think that Lea deserved to qualify in 2018 as well. I would've put Latvia through instead of Serbia.

@@brobb00 I would have put Latvia and Romania/Malta through instead of Slovenia and The Netherlands, the other qualifiers were quite right, even though I really did not like that semi fianl in general. Sanja Ilic and and Balkanika were by far my favorires in that semi, they gave us something different and unique and you can't say the same with Lea, she wasn't even that good vocally, but the girl has charisma. However I still think Hvala Ne was really bad and unisrpiring musically, it was just good for the dance and fun element, but definitely not qualifier material. Of course it's just a matter of opinions, but I believe we should have something for everybody, wr already had many pop songs in the final, while Nova Deca was the only electronic-traditional song in the competition.
