So many people fail to understand that he is simply showing what a creative mind can do. He doesn't pretend to think everyone has every tool known to man. Just like in any survival situation, it is what you have between your ears that will enable you to adapt and overcome by thinking outside the box. To me, he is showing what a creative mind can do. I totally enjoyed the video and for sure was jamming on the tunes. Thank you for sharing sir.

I have made that sand blaster many times now. I use them so much that the sand eventually destroys the metal tube. It only costs 5 dollars and works amazing. I sand blasted an entire wheel barrow in about 10 minutes. The trick is to have the hole on the bottom of the tube while the bottle is held upside down. Also you'll need to sift the sand (Lowes bag of play sand) to remove any larger pebble that will clog the tube. I use a fine mesh strainer that I bought at the grocery store.
@Low_Rent
@Low_Rent 2 роки тому
I’d like to try the sand blaster but I’m not sure I follow what you said about the hole being on the bottom of the tube. What type of adjustments to the bottle caps do you make for that?
@Bill-rb9ki
@Bill-rb9ki 2 роки тому
@@Low_Rent I'm pretty sure he's saying he prefers the negative pressure of the tube to pull in the sand as opposed to it being more gravity fed.
@Jpgundarun
@Jpgundarun 2 роки тому
I have a gravity feed sandblaster that works that well it easily destroys tips and eventually destroys the entire nozzle as well. The sand flows like an hourglass and its blasted out by the full pressure of the compressor.

Some didn't feel very DIY, but the sand blaster and the wood turning tools are genius! Obviously not designed for for replacing the real thing, but if you need either of these tools casually, these look like good DIY alternatives!
@bungieflute

if you put clear contact paper on glass you can put nearly any design behind it and trace on the contact paper {basically a clear plastic sticker} with a x-acto knife or razor knife blade the design "weed out" the parts you would like sandblasted and go for it . They are like unwrapping a present when you take the sticker paper off after sandblasting , also cri-cut vinyl stickers work awesome too , I have even used maple leaf and skull's , hearts die- cut stickers especially vinyl numbers the thick ones from wal-mart and it worked out as well, paper stickers not so much, well if you do it lightly and dont go over it too much. I have made money using my imagination, its nice getting paid doing what you like to do .

Send the air line into the to of the bottle on your sand blaster the trigger for a open close over an outlet. Could uses an air hose to the top of the bottle to a short air hose on the bottle neck to your air gun, might be hard on the air gun but a lot more pressure too really work Love the drill press lathe
@jeeprenegade1985
@jeeprenegade1985 2 роки тому
Get a 4 way pipe cross, plumbing fitting, some pipe, a flare fitting sticking through the bottle cap and a flare nut to hold the bottle down in place. A pipe out of the bottom for a handle, and a valve coming in to shut off the air. You can make your own sand blaster and just piece it together without fabricating anything.

Sorry to be so late to this. Yesterday built the pump to empty my 50 Gal. aquarium. By the time it took me to build the pump, it had already been emptied by the 1" hose that, I've been using for the last 10 years. Simply take a hose, fill it with water and dip the shorter end into the tank and let the longer end drop into ( or near) a bucket. Gravity will do the rest. No need to waste time. Larger containers? Simply use more hoses.

That saw needs some safety add ons
@DreadX10
@DreadX10 3 роки тому
It has a build-in safety feature that lets the motor burn out due to collected dust in its innards. So the un-safety-ness is time-limited.

Once the stock thickness goes above 1/4 inch the motor will stall. As Don stated ...safety features needled.

Who needs safety for trash. The cuts won’t be true. Just buy a used saw . When that blade comes flying out of that pile of crap he better know how to diy some stitches. (Rambo stile)

@@albertthorne2872 you’re spot-on. There isn’t even a fence. I got my Skill table saw for about $100 on sale, new, blade included, and it’s light-years safer and better. Gotta think best approach not just doing.

I made a sandblaster gun with the plastic bottle. It works like a charm and cost about 3 bucks.

The drill pump is nice. But a bucket would be handier. And safer.

I may be way off here, but i could have sworn ive seen a sandblaster, table saw, and a lathe before the year 2020..... You must have meant the best inventions of 1920..

A sheet metal cutter is about $40 on Amazon. This method requires destroying a good pair of tin snips and an angle grinder, not to mention needing a metalwork lathe and spot welder. Kinda dumb.

if you put clear contact paper on glass you can put nearly any design behind it and trace on the contact paper {basically a clear plastic sticker} with a x-acto knife or razor knife blade the design "weed out" the parts you would like sandblasted and go for it .

Stick welder. More difficult to do properly than the MIG you're going to see typically for this diy stuff, but the machine is cheap and you don't need inert gas. Just angry pixies and electrodes.
