Fighters stop when the ref says so. As shown in the video, some knock out are so obvious that there is no need to keep beating on the guy. For me the real issue is Herb Dean. Watch him, he acts like it's his first time in the ring and isn't sure what to do. He has a nasty habit of letting beatings go for too long for the fighters safety, while some fights he stops immediately.. His job is to protect a defenseless fighter wether I like them or not, and he sucks at it. Can't believe he is still allowed in the ring.

If anything it was Usman fighting on short notice as he was preparing to fight Burns, but then Burns pulled out due to COVID and had to fight Masvidal instead who is a completely different opponent. Dustin Poirier (who trains at ATT, same gym as Jorge trains at) pointed out in an interview that Masvidal was training to fight Usman months prior should the fight with Burns fall through, it wasn't as if he got up off the couch. Turns out a full camp Usman is far more dangerous.
