Nope, it worked because they had good chemistry and Andy Willman(Producer) knew how to play it up. They weren't "friends" at the start of the show, May didn't join untill season 2, and Hammond was casted..

The problem is i love those mitsubishis you said, its Just that all their normal cars were always dreadful shitboxes like the mirage and the normal lancer. The italians are much better at making small cars, like the panda, which even clarkson agrees is brilliant

Not true. My last French car (a Citroen C5) went through 8 completely trouble-free years in my household. My current car is also French (another Citroen), which I bought new last year. So far not so much as even a rattle. I'm not the only one who has had this experience with French cars either.

Well of course they don't have a 100% failure rate, so some people are bound to own trouble-free French cars statistically. However the surveys, reviews and reputation don't lie - French cars are known for being less reliable than most other car brands. There's pretty much no defending it when the facts and figures are out there. I'd say you've been pretty lucky to own two trouble-free Citroens, but your luck may run out at some point.

SB 90s And in all fairness, this clip is quite old...New French cars are better made. Are they still among the lower segments on lists? Yes! Would I buy one? No! But the French car-bashing is sometimes quite unfounded and exaggerated

Bay Sket Jeremy is in love and dressing/acting to impress. Claims James would do the same for Graham Norton (Famously gay, male TV presenter/failed stand-up comic).

They sometimes joke about James being gay, perhaps because was the only one who wasn't married (I believe Jeremy is now divorced). However, James has lived with the same girlfriend for going on 15 years or so.
