I really don’t like to watch crashes unfolding. I’d seen them during the season, I knew everyone was ok, but I know how much that stuff hurts. Painful to watch. Good camera work though!

This is a "what not to do videos" Superbikes (I have one!) are so expensive to build and repair *(I am an engineer therefore programming and material selections are very expensive and time consuming). This is great at track but not at roads. Be safe and respect the devices!

The race track should require water only cooling systems. The motors get rebuilt with in 500miles anyway.

MotoAmerica absolutely requires water ONLY in the cooling system. We have issued many sanctions for cooling systems with additives to the water (and not let them on the track until they flush the system). Calebs bike grenaded the motor. That was a mixture of oil and water that was pouring out of a gaping hole in the side of the case.

I thought antifreeze was also anti boil. Wouldn't the higher compression engines that run hotter need to have something with a higher boiling temp?

s@@divebobber It does raise the boiling point. But antifreeze is VERY difficult to clean up and like ice when it's spilled on the track. So the bikes are modified to run cool on just water. Bigger radiators and less weight due to getting rid of all the street equipment means the cooling systems run just fine on water only.

if it rains in the middle of a race, well, most racing events cannot be canceled in rain because there is a lot of money at stake. Especially if it's a major event with a ton of people watching and a lot of sponsors paying. When people take their special time to organize for a day when they don't have to work, don't have to look after kids, buy tickets ahead of time, make sure they don't have to do any other thing for that day other than to be in that event, etc., only for it to be cancelled just because of rain, people would be very furious. It turned out to be pretty exciting anyway
