I was born and raised in Turkey. computers were just starting to enter new homes, there was no internet. There were vcd-cd clips and movies. That computer, which is old compared to the present time, was a great invention for me. We used to listen and watch there all the time. memories were beautiful. thanks

Graduated HS 1994, Univ 1999 so I lived the last truly great decade in the prime of my early adult life. I feel that I was truly blessed to arrive in a world that simply felt exciting on an almost daily basis. From the birth of home internet to dialup AOL; the explosion of grunge and gangsta rap, our medium of music went from (in my lifetime) vinyl records->8tracks->cassettes->CD's->digital; no mass adoption of cell phone usage; no real 24/7 news cycle; **no social media**. We also had a booming economy with new and old jobs that paid a living wage along with low inflation; we even had an education system that was still satisfactory in relaying basic ideas and concepts. All this said, we did have problems like racial injustice, an out-of-control drug war that preyed on our most vulnerable and powerless citizens that needed help and not punishment, the War in Iraq (that was watched on live TV for the first time), and of course all of this was before the music stopped on 9/11 (pun intended, I suppose). All in all, it was a remarkable time to get one's comeuppance before assuming the responsibilities of adulthood. I look back to that decade almost daily because of the current myriad and quickly deteriorating conditions of the world that we are unfortunate to find ourselves in. I know my experience will not be reflected by everyone; but it was mine. Godspeed to our younger adults that won't be able to collectively fall asleep at the wheel only to be rag dolled by times and events that will still happen whether or not you are prepared or not. Thank you for the nostalgic trip down my memory lane. This was all that and a bag of chips!

I'm a true 90s baby. Born in the 80s, grew up in the 90s. And it was undoubtedly the best era. I truly think music was way more diverse back then than it is now. You had so many genres to choose from - from punk to world music (with various languages represented) to pop to electronica. There were artists of every color, race and cultural background represented. Now the same shit is recycled and shoved down our throats with people who all look and act the same. I mean, you had Youssou N'Dour (a Senegalese artist) playing back to back with something like Prodigy that was followed by Michael Jackson and Offspring. We've gone backwards in terms of diversity, that's for sure.

@@garrybushell2703 в том то и дело, что столько нового и интересного, столько эмоций и переживаний как у детей 90-х не было и вряд ли у кого будет. Не смотря на всеобщий бардак появлялось столько всего нового и интересного, все равно что сейчас папуасам квадрокоптер показать. Ну и конечно музыка, она была везде - в машинах, в киосках, в магазинах, ну и плюс появились кассетные и дисковые плееры. Она была классная, разная, интересная и весёлая - столько разных стилей и направлений, столько разных групп и индивидуальность. Сейчас просто нет такого драйва и яркости, и тут не из за детства ситуация. Просто все иначе.

@@user-sv3di9ps5c как считаешь, через 25-30 лет будут говорить то же самое дети лет 15 ныне живущие в эту эпоху?)только не забудь учесть то, что с прогрессом и технологии шагнут вверх, а жанры музыки в ширь. Если понимать момент, то нам не повезло, а просто было крутое время при крутых обстоятельствах, где эта крутость шла через призму возраста на тот момент (ребёнок)

@@garrybushell2703 нет, будут может вспоминать детство, какие то интересные моменты, но такого как у детей 90х не будет ни музыки, ни переживаний. Сейчас в принципе все иначе, все сидят в соц сетях, без телефона ни шагу, отношения между людьми другие. Так что не будет таких эмоций у нынешнего поколения через 20-30 лет, просто в силу обстоятельств быть не сможет - другое время, масса излишеств, никаких открытий.

Если взять все во внимание, ответ тебя удивит) соответственно, методом относительности сможешь провести какие-нибудь параллели и понимания в целом вопроса
