I agree, yesterday there were storm chasers finding themselves on dead ends & muddy roads. If tornadoes were predictable it wouldn’t be a problem, but we know they are not.

Seriously, how does one predict the location and timing of a tornado? Lots of people wish they could. Two completely different monsters.

Debris flying into the jet engine turbine would be fatal and then you not only have tornado to worry about but planes falling from the sky

Let's compare a category 5 hurricane (160mph winds) with an EF5 tornado (200-300mph winds). Not only are tornadoes faster but they're also much smaller which means their violence is more focused. If you've seen the footage of the plane flying through a hurricane, it is actually beautiful and serene. There are no mass amounts of debris hanging around throughout the clouds that could shred your plane, and the winds travel in a predictable manner. Tornadoes have unpredictable winds and hold onto the debris they pick up. Not to mention you could get hit with a sub vorticity that could toss you before even reaching the main tornado.
