Tornado!

Sunday evening a small Tornado passed right through my place. Fortunately, other than a broken garage window, my home didn't get any damage. I shot this short video of the tree and neighbors barn damage. Funny thing is, there was no weather warning. This storm popped up out of nowhere. The thumbnail picture is from my sisters security camera as it caught an image of the approaching storm a few mile from my house.

Glad your safe! I live on the Bowie/Red River county line in NE Texas. One tornado jumped our house and took the back off our barn when I was 12 yrs old. Another tornado 5 yrs later turned over a trailer home and set a pier and beam home off its foundation, 300 ys down the road. And the town of Dekalb,Texas has had 2 tornadoes go through it the past 20 yrs, one just a couple years ago. Dekalb is 7 miles from my home. Which is why I can't sleep in stormy weather. Again, so glad you're safe. We definitely live in tornado alley!!!!

It's all good. The only casualties was a garage window and a tomato plant.

That blows 🌪 Glad you and yours are all unharmed (besides the tomatos 😥) I imagine sasquatch with parted hair and eyes squinted. Can you imagine how tangled that hair would be after a tornado?

Hiya, I'm glad you and your family are doing ok, in Ok. yall have been having a lot of tornadoes this year. I always wondered.....where does the Bigfoots go during bad weather? That's a crazy question, I know but, down South Louisiana we have hurricanes and I always wondered..... 😁 anyway that's a question that requiring minds want too know. Good question. It has been my understanding that wild creatures seem to sense when a bad storm is coming and take shelter ahead of time. Maybe the Sasquatch are the same. Have a great day!

Tornados are fearsome acts of nature, I'm sure glad your home and property was not damaged! Too bad about your neighbors barn but it sounds like most all avoided big damage, injuries or worse!

Looks like straight line winds, did you see twisted trees? After living through the 2020 Derecho, here in Iowa, straight line 140mph winds, bad news. Lost about 60% of our tree canopy, through out town.

There were trees directly behind my house with the tops twisted out. Also behind that near the creek.

Being an okie, unfortunately I've been thro a few of these bastards. I am not at all a fan of tornadoes. Not when they are barrolling down on you. They are very neat to watch and see the awesome power of nature. But from a distance. I've have fae too many close calls and one unbelievably close call that almost got me and my entire family killed. Fortunately we got to live to tell the story. Stay safe out there Dave.

Very true. I think most Oklahomans can probably recount a tornado experience of some kind.
