Total Recall is a 1990 Paul Verhoeven directed adaptation of the Phillip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale." It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as Douglas Quaid, a construction worker who dreams of going to Mars and stops at Rekall Incorporated to have the memories of one such trip implanted into his brain. However, something goes wrong. It appears that "Douglas" has actually been a spy who's been to mars all along! He'll now have to get back to the red planet and figure out what happened to himself before he's captured by the shadowy "organization" that seems to want to keep him from there!

One of my happiest memories, and this may sound strange, is this film being shown on TV at 10 o’clock on a Sunday. My older brother and I shared a room. There was a big enough gap between our beds for him to put a small CRT television on a chair to watch movies. I was desperate to see it and was trying my best to catch a glimpse of the screen. And seeing this, my bro slipped his foot out from underneath his bed sheets and pushed the chair so I could see the screen. I loved this film ever since. Shouldn’t have been watching it because I was 8! 😂 But what the hell? I saw RoboCop when I was 4! 🫣

This is one of the most wholesome things I’ve ever read 😂 Also, I happened to see Robocop when I was only 4 or 5 too! Even had one of the old action figures for Robocop 3 that my parents probably found in a clearance bin years later

@@NicheCaesarWas it the action doll with the arm that could be replaced with that big gun? I had that. Had it fight my T2 Arnie doll with the buttons on the back that had him say lines from the film. Sadly he didn’t have a button which made him say “Chill out, dickwad!” 😢
