TTY played better than last week, especially toward match point in G2 but still making a lot of mistakes trying to hit perfect shots due to the pressure and pace imposed by Marin's attack. Carolina made especially good use of the attacking clears! Surprised TTY several times in her backhand corner.

I think the only players who can deal with Marin at the moment are the most patients and non-error prone type of players in WS Top 10: Chen Yufei and Nozomi Okuhara. I don't think Ratchanok would have performed any better than TTY today

It looks like a deja vu, no? I almost thought it was a replay of last week, and then realized the difference was "TOYOTA", 😂. Nevertheless, an impressive performance by Marin, even if I would like to see Tai Tzu Ying win now, as I like her a lot!

Wtf. at 46:33 Carolina should of get a yellow card. Tai had her racket and hands up but waited 12 damn seconds, yet Carolina already in the service position but she takes 10 small steps, and then she just stands still stares at Tai for 3 seconds. not enough, she decided to take another 5 more small steps just to get ready. What's more? she takes another 3 seconds staring at Tai untill she finally serves. She does the same when she is receiving, Tai had the shutter up and racket to the back ready to serve, but many times Tai had to put the shutter back down and look at the empire, but the he did nothing. 47:36 48:37 54:41 52:18 are 4 examples in just short 5 minutes. we dont need empire just be there counting points only. The empire was useless. BWF should look into those and set new rules. such as you must serve in 5 seconds after opponents rise hand and racket., must get ready to recieve in 5 seconds when opponent rise the shutter.

Absolutely right and thats what annoys me so much more than her screaming. But umpires in Badminton are a joke. They call players out for being a second late when toweling down or taking a drink, but time wasting in between points is no problem.

@@epoxone It's not about wasting time, it's about she tries to make opponents wait in an awkward position for long enough, they might lose balance or lose focus at the same time.

Tai should slow down when serving or receiving service. She should just stand there waiting for Marin to get ready before she started serving. Same to receiving service, she was preparing to receive serve when Marin was still walking.

All players will try to speed it up at some points and slow it down at other points. Part of the game. I don't think more rules are needed. Umpire must already look for receiver's fault and service judge must look for service fault. I don't think this umpire is useless and I don't think this was a big deal.

有否看到小戴已經長大了她開始化妝從前她有一定程度的天真和熱情在羽毛球在技術上曾顕視個人風格但一旦給對方習慣她的打法以後的路就有點辛苦了希望她能再上一層樓再給大家表現多幾年美好的好球😀😀

I am pretty sure TTY will be retiring soon, considering this year would be the last chance for her to gain Olympic champaign or World cup champaign. Her ability to control rallies is getting lower which highly depends on how early she can get on the shuttle. Basically her physical level limited her technical range, that's why she had so many errors when she still tried to do the same. Sadly this type of player usually loss in big events because the power play is easier to overcome nervous in clutch time.

As TTY is ranked #1, it is understandable that people have high expectations on her. But no player can maintain his/her peak performance at all times. This is just the first two weeks after a long break. It is way too early to deduce anything yet.

타이즈잉을 응원했는데 2번 연속으로 마린한테 패 하네요ㅠㅠ 마린이 진짜 컨디션이 머리 끝까지 올라온것이 보입니다 아무리 그래도 2번 연속 패 할만큼 타이즈잉이 약하지 않은데 너무아쉽네요 다음 대회때는 마린을 이기는 모습을 기대합니다!!

Indeed you're right. She made herself a plce in the spotlight, and thanks to her gold winning in last Summer Olympics spaniards found out what a great and outstanding player we got. It's been a tough year for her, she deserved the victory.

What we still have not seen in Spain, where I am, is a real boom in badminton. And it may not happen, either. This is too bad, as it is not expensive and is a good sport for young people to pick up. Probably because we simply do not have coaches, physical education teachers don't know the rules. So it may take some time--or may not happen at all.

Hahahahh you better dont comment. TTY had a streak of 6 wins in a row over Marin before. Are u saying marin wasnt screaming in those 6 matches? These top players are great that they couldn’t care much about the scream. You dont have to speak for them. And the yell doesnt seem to me as intimidating. It is her way to inject confidence. Everyone does that. Ratchanok does that. Tau tzu ying does that. Sindhu does that. If you dont have anything good to say, shut up.

Every artist has its signature, Carolina, aside from screaming, is an increadible, polite and outstanding mindset athlete. I think both of them have got an incredible eye and affinity with this sensorial sport, I have been playing badminton since a kid and you really can't imagine how much does that footwork cost to train/movements to refine!! By the way, Carolina hasn't given any set away for a long time, she fights until the end, although she had a major injury not long ago. Congratulations to Marin and TTY for reaching Top2 once more, and this time in better state 🌅. Have a nice day everyone 🌹

Agree. They were saying as if these top players care much about the scream. They were trained to overcome any psychological attacks since they decided to join this sport. Cant these all folks chill. Tai tzu ying was doing so so great. The head to head is 9-8 in favour of her. Marin just found her rythm well. Thats it. Not that marin wasnt screaming in all 9 victories of TTY. Uurrghh. Simple minded.

If shes doing the wrong things for so long bwf or other players will eventually point her out. She’s not abusing the rules or yelling in someone’s face your complaints toward her is unfair and unjust. She had to deal with her fathers death just half a year ago and still remained true to the sport and came back strong with passion.
