SEAN! You need to start placing WAY more torches than you ever do. That's the reason mobs spawn in the most inconveniencing spots at bad times. Torches before aesthetically pleasing builds.

Slabs, walls and stairs are a builder’s best friends. It gives more volume to the walls. Also recommend trying to make various rooms so you don’t just build a square every time.

When dealing with the skeletons, remember: You are melee, and you have a shield. They're ranged only. Just stop retreating, and close the distance while blocking. Then wait for them to shoot, hit them and block again. Rinse and repeat. :)

The book that u threw in the cave was actually from the same mod as the hammerhead sharks and the whales. It gives u information on the animals, like if they are friendly or not, how to tame them, what they can drop, etc.... Pretty useful stuff!! Love ur videos, can't wait to see more!!

Building is about depth and layers, Sean. Best way to get good at building is to just go look up buildings and see what it is you like about them, then open a creative world and tinker around with them to learn. One of my favorite things to do is rebuild villages. When I start a project, I start looking up various houses, both real life and minecraft, and see what I can do with minecraft to replicate it. Then I find MC houses that have features I like and figure out how to put them together. The first step to getting good, however, is acknowledging that you can improve, and seeking out ways to get better. Good job taking that step.

21:50 as a building focused player i recommend using trapdoors fencegates to decorate very plain looking walls, and giving your roof a unique shape makes the house look a lot less boring. 30:52 if you are making someting like this again, i recommend putting slabs or trapdoors on top of the fences.

Loved the video, two things that'll help when you find diamond dig around a little sometimes its connected by the corners instead of the side so one may be more. As for building look into adding different gradients and depth. Like slabs, trapdoors, and blocks that are similar just different shades of the same color😊

We should respect the fact that Forge has probably spent at least $1000 dollar on all of the mods combined. respect to you my man!!!

Hey Sean, my MAN. Knowing that you are playing 1.12 (hopefully 1.12.2) let me recommend you a Challenge! "Grimoire of Gaia" Another fantasy survival, so remove the horde of zombies and add "Ice and Fire" and "Mowzie's Mobs", maybe add "the Twilight Forest" for extra flavor (no need to GO into the Twilight I would suggest add "Tinker's Construct" but I know many are tired of it or consider it cheating for as good the tools are. Get your water, temperature, season and nutrition mod ;P BUT MOST IMPORTANT. I want you to try "grimoire of Gaia". My Man! If you want a challenge, people say you won't find any better than those Fantasy Monsters. Don't even look into it, no need for research, because a man who takes a challenge face on is a brave man! don't even worry about your death counter. This is a Challenge to see how good you can survive these monsters. Unless you want to take it like your RLCraft series. This will be your next biggest challenge

Tips that will make your run much better(i will add more with time) Sorry in advance for bad english 1)mine one block higher in your mine tunnel(this will make it 2× faster for you to go up and down and it will also please any minecrafter with more than two days worth of experience) 2)in case you go up against a mob you think can oneshot you then do the same thing you did with the giant centipede(build a wall between you+some glass to see where it is) and dump lava on it. 3)in case you find a mob spawner DO NOT BREAK IT(simply light it up with torches and use it later as a mob grinder EVEN if you don't think you will use it) 4)clear any place mobs can spawn around your home(ex:trees) 5)if you want to not die then don't do stupid crup like trying to get a pet centipede 6)when raiding a dungeon/building DO NOT start loting until you are safe(ex:if you would of cleared the top of the ship and secured it before starting to loot then that vindicator-axe guy- wouldnt have snuck up on you) Also in the offchance you are actually reading this then don't think you shouldn't loot at all. All im saying is you first make sure you're save before you open a chest(also trapped chests are very much real) 7)your building is bad.There is no lying about that so the best you can do is throw aside all the beach side houses and cabins on top of mountains. What you want is a secure location with clear sight lines where no mobs can spawn(preferably something like a hole in a mountain that looks like a cave - much like the one from the biggining of the island that was on your right when you first sailed in that opening with that hung up skeleton) 8)when inside a cave try to not leave yourself exposed by going in an open area with a lot of mobs(skeletons especially) since the knockback can push you in another arrow or a group of mobs that will pretty much kill you before you can eat a golden apple or react

A good mod to use to help you keep track of the time and day is Guiclock. You can turn off needing the clock in your inventory or keep it, but it tells you the time and number of in-game days you've been playing.

I personally feel like more variation would be good like the fences instead of being one line in between the segments it would dip in the middle or raise at the poles, and the roof should be curved or have some slabs or raises at the corners.❤
