Here's something to think about for all you people who ALWAYS like to mention Manny's "8 division champion". It would have been MORE DIFFICULT for Manny to STAY in one division and to stay undefeated. He HAD to move up in divisions because his body was growing. So moving up was the EASIER thing to do. Manny got KO'd TWICE as a flyweight, and had he stayed in that weight, he would have gotten KO'd again. I am saying this because too many people like to make it sound that winning 8 division championships is more difficult than staying in one division, and winning titles in just one division. It isn't. For Manny, staying in just one or two divisions would have been MUCH MORE DIFFICULT (if not impossible) than winning titles in 8 divisions. You understand?

Heck, I was barely 100-lbs as a freshman in high school, and WITHOUT EVEN TRYING to gain weight, I was about 160-lbs by the time I was a senior. So gaining weight is a natural progression as one gets older. I'm not taking anything away from Manny because he is a GREAT FIGHTER. However, one CANNOT use his "8 division championships" as justification as to why he's the best because it's not fair to heavier fighters. Do you really expect a heavyweight, like George Foreman, who weighed 260-lbs, to drop down 7 division and fight at 140-lbs in the super lightweight division? It's MUCH harder for a big fighter, to lose weight as he gets older, and to drop down in divisions to win multiple titles. Manny started as a very small fighter, at a young age, so him gaining weight, and progressing up the divisions is MUCH easier than for fighters such as Foreman, Tyson, Bowe, Lennox Lewis, etc. to drop down.

It's interesting to know & thank you for the knowledge on the rule, but not knowing is more a sign of your level/experience with boxing, not your age. And since I'm not sure of your familiarity with MMA rules, a KO is someone out cold, a TKO is someone who just can't continue... so the importance seems sort of inversed between MMA & boxing, hence an MMA fan being confused why it wasn't a "better" KO than just a slightly "less" TKO, when it sounds like a TKO is the "better" result in boxing.
