@@losaikosavetheearth4215 Once you are pardoned for a particular crime there is no longer any possibility of that same person being prosecuted for that crime, and here comes THAT particular crime. The Fifth Amendment deals very specifically with the right of a citizen to avoid testifying against his own guilt. So, the 5th no longer applies.

I'm pretty sure a number of State Bar complaints have been made against him. I think all the lawyers filing that KNOWINGLY FRAUDULENT legal process should be disciplined with disbarment. It was a terrible misuse of the courts and it served to add credibility to a plot to destabilize the United States.

Umm, I'm no big time lawyer, but doesn't there have to be a conviction before a pardon. As far as I know. His family and Rudy haven't had specific crimes waged against them. I don't think the power comes with prepardoning someone. Seriously, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm an independent voter so I don't have a bias either way.

You don't have to be convicted or even charged before receiving your pardon. We saw that with Nixon. Ford pardoned him for any crime committed against the United States during the period when he was in office.

@@Angular777 Perhaps I should expand that. Nixon was not regarded as having pleaded guilty to every crime on the federal statute book, nor was he asked to provide a list of crimes he had committed. He wasn't even asked to testify against his erstwhile subordinates. All his pardon meant was that no-one was going to charge him with federal crimes committed during his presidency.
