They provide their fighters with more tools to succeed than any other MMA promotion. The PI and all it offers, chances to be involved in broadcasts in many ways, UKposts and other social media efforts like this (stuff all over Fight Pass), shows like Embedded that give us insight into the fighters’ personalities, and a promotional machine that propels the fighters forward even after they’ve left the UFC.

I saw Rashad and I clicked immediately. He was the reason I started competing in MMA. I switched from boxing for 9 years because I saw him head kick Sean Salmon in a highlight reel online by accident in my dorm in 2008. It was so badass that I went down the wormhole of mma fights on youtube. I fell in love with the sport and found a BJJ gym. Back then it was more difficult to find a legit coach so I ended up having to drive 47 miles one way 3 days a week around a Job and college. But it was worth it for sure. Thank You to everyone on the panel for all the fights over the years you competed in and entertaining us. . You're all legends. Rashad vs Rampage was my favorite season as well.

It’s kind of cool to think about the people at this table, Peña, Serra, and Bisping all pulled off the greatest upsets of all time in history to win the belt, Forest himself also got two great upsets against Shogun and Rampage where he won the belt, and Rashad finished Forest for the belt himself EDIT: I don’t consider Rashad’s win over forest for the belt an upset, the odds at the time had them near even and Rashad was 12-0-1 coming off the Chuck KO

Then I got hit by a drunk driver, went through a windshield, suffered a stroke at 26. Paralyzed, couldn't speak, move... Nothing. Metal plate in my skull. Dream was over. But I'm a fighter above all and I had so many 'doctors' and 'specialists' say I'd never walk again. I'm 35 now and I know for a fact that my passion for the sport kept me in this world. I started watching MMA back in 2009 when I was 12. First fight I saw was Machida vs Evans. (Lyoto is my favorite fighter). All these guys are pioneers. I remember seeing Peña on the ultimate fighter too and it’s great to see her success. It’s crazy how much time flies. Most new fans don’t even know who these fighters are.
