“Am I going in this casket soon?”
It’s April 2000, Kristina Beard is desperately trying to get ahold of her twin sister Jennifer. My 3 year old daughter passed away in 2018. Buying a coffin and picking the colors and details for it were the hardest and so traumatic. And she was already passed away. The way she just bought pink coffins like it was candy for her young living children is only something a monster could do. That part hit me the hardest. Rest in peace Steven. This one kinda hits home for me. I lived with my abusive birth giver (she shouldn't be called a mom) all my childhood and everytime my dad fought for custody, she would play the courts like a fiddle. It was until I turned 13 and my sis turned 14 that we could actually talk to the judge. We went to her chambers and told her everything. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the court room but we were so scared of that woman, we didn't want to so we sat outside. My dad finally won that day and my birth giver ran away to Florida to hide out. Hate is a very strong word but she's the closest I can get to that word (Edit: Grammer. Also thank u for the likes!)

The fact that Celeste wasn't a suspect from the get go is nuts. What were the police thinking?
@naverilllang
@naverilllang 5 місяців тому
The facts that make the mother the obvious suspect are presented so clearly in hindsight. That being said, everyone is a suspect until ruled out. Celeste was on the table from the beginning. I came from abusive parents, and I’ve never had a childhood. When I was pregnant with my first, my biggest fear was I would fail my child, because I didn’t know what a regular parent will act to take care of their children. I bought so many books to read, and I lived with anxiety of failing. With readings and therapy, now I have a lovely family, supportive husband and precious children. I worked very hard to earn my life today and I deserve the happiness life brings me. I am very happy for the twins that they survived the worst nightmare and living their best lives. For anyone who fights with mental illness and abusive parents, please believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It will get better. You deserve to be happy!

What most likely happened is that the court partially sided with the mother like it or not US family court is very biased towards women. It seems like their biological dad knew something was wrong with her and that she could get violent and tried to get custody and this probably explains why he killed himself too. He was most likely afraid he would lose them both to their mother who is manipulative and violent.

What kind of court and what kind of parents would let that happen? I can see why the dad did, knowing who the mom was.. he was trying to save at least one of them. The mom only did it out of spite.. and the judge did it out of "fairness" to the parents, but unfairness and an injustice to the twins.

@mitten97
@mitten97 8 місяців тому
No, it’s because there are limits to how long a patient can be kept if they have not committed any crime. This prevents involuntary indefinite hold of a person (which violates civil and constitutional rights). I think there is a 72 hr limit before a court appearance which is where it gets decided if they need to be held longer. After the 72hrs you are usually free to decline any further help and leave unless forced by the court. Many states allow for longer times under specific circumstances. To force someone to remain in the mental facility, 2 court appointed psychiatrists must agree on it and determine length of time. It’s a flawed system because of stories like this. Most psychiatric hospitals were forced to close because of the belief driven by the left in our country (this was during the civil rights movement) that the hospitals were inhumane, the misguided belief that hospitals could be replaced by medicines, and to save money because they were a money pit(imagine prison like system but with having to pay expensive doctors instead of corrections officers). They weren’t wrong per say, but their solution was no better. Now defund it, and force most to close and now you have capacity, funding and resource issues. The reality is the system was broken before, but then there was a huge pendulum swing in the other direction and now you get more stories like this all the time, as well as things like rampant homelessness in our cities and people with mental issues filling prisons. The current system is woefully inadequate while the previous system violated people’s liberties….basically the way we handle mental health needs to be addressed but the big whigs in charge don’t care. There is also the issue of Medicaid, example see ‘Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act 1981’ and how it has negatively impacted funding for SMI (severe mental illness). Court decisions also play a major part, example see ‘1999 Olmstead v. L.C.’

And even though she does have learning difficulties and I have sensory issues and cannot always handle her constant energy, I can AND WILL (Metaphorically cause I love her and would never do it in my life [My mothers an ex-cop I'm not taking that chance nor will I ever]) kill for her. And my mother has actually said that even if she and my dad divorce (She has threatened before due to arguments) then she's taking us both, with no exceptions so uh... And, back on the subject of siblings, I don't think that I would be able to handle not being around her. As I've said, love her to death and can't handle her sometimes but I am not getting separated from her at all... No thanks, I'd choose to stay with her than not hear her come through the door after school (I'm housebound due to medical issues so I'm always there when she does) so not hearing her when she comes through would just be unnatural for me

not just twins, but siblings in general. I fully understand now why my older brother was separated from me and my younger brother when our parents got divorced, he's a half-brother and has no relation to my mother. He wasn't even technically adopted, my mother was his stepmother. but at 6? you don't understand that. all I understood was that dad was leaving, and he was taking my older brother with him. I or my little brother weren't "good enough" to go with dad. It lead to a lot of anxieties, self-esteem issues, and frankly resentment

I can so much relate to the sentence in the end "I'm being the mom that I wanted." Not every kid raised by evil people is going to be evil themselfs. Many of us aspire to be the opposite of what we had to endure.

Wait have you seen the documentary called 3 identical strangers? Gotta watch it but do not look up any spoilers or Google it too heavily before you do it's a very famous story and it's crazier to watch if you haven't been spoiled about the stuff behind it.. It's not bad or dark or anything.. It's about 3 identical strangers and you eventually find out why they were separated so definitely look it up... Sounds like Tracy was manipulated at the very least, and was potentially a victim of emotional abuse herself. She definitely wasn’t all there. Good on her for seeing the light and working to protect the twins once she knew they were away from their mom. This is NOT the first time a sociopath has manipulated a vulnerable person into doing their dirty work.
@junglekutz5625
@junglekutz5625 8 місяців тому
I'm not buying that. There's 2 sides to manipulation....the manipulator and a person that is desperate for ?!?!? You can fill in the blanks. As the manipulation can only take place if there is a thirst (basically said manipulator is privy to what said person wants and needs. As being able to provide and or take away whatever need is how said manipulator controls them. Tracey sounds like she did what she was asked/told, in order to receive whatever.

@@junglekutz5625Didn't you hear the part where Celeste manipulated her into thinking she started a relationship with her out of love and on top of that, made her believe that Steve was a cruel and abusive man? It wouldn't be the first time that a person would kill someone, because they believed that their loved one is in danger, due to abuse. The fact that she started confessing when she read that the twins were in grave danger days alot about her true character. And that she apologized to the girls after the crime. Sadly enough lonely and unaccepted people seem to have the ability to go far, when they get a shred of affection. I wished she saw through Celeste's evil ways, before she killed Steven.

I believe that is when she realized that she was being loyal to an imbecile that played her. But truth be told, that is what she gets for believing that she was better than that man and being that she was "chosen".......she was actually chosen because she was loved. 🙄. Guilt will definitely kick in, when you come to accept the facts vs whatever fantasy you subscribed to. As she likely sensed the worst when she was being ensnared, but bought into the hype with a belief that she would get the best.

While in the mental hospital, Celeste had convinced Tracey that she was being horribly verbally, mentally and physically abused by her husband Steven. She even gaslit/set up situations when she invited Tracey for dinner to make Steve lose his temper in front of Tracey to try to make him look bad. She faked bruises with makeup and took pictures to send to Tracey. She would fight with her husband and tape record conversations and then manipulate the tapes to make her husband sound like he was picking a fight and was verbally abusive. She also pretended to be in love with Tracey and to have just recently “discovered” she was a lesbian because Tracey made her realize how happy she was when they were together. I recall this from a more lengthy true crime show. The step father was pretty wealthy, and they lived in a large house. Prior to his murder, the crazy mother had moved into another part of the house to have an alibi when he was shot. The mom was truly bent on killing, and she had a ton of money to do it. (Note: They call her by her name, not "Mom".)

Yes she was a waitress he had money due to oil and was major wealthy, he really loved her and the girls paid for everything etc cut it was when the wife was questioned about the increasing amount of money she was spending on ridiculous things and put her on an allowance and that’s what caused the plot to get rid of him. She ruined her daughters lives selfishly and taking the life of a wonderful person and drawing in someone that was clearly mentally unstable is simply evil. Goes to show how they feel about their mother by calling her Celeste not mom and their step father dad

Literal Solomon cutting the baby in twain situation. 1 Kings 3:16-18 If you don't know tl;dr Two women come to King Solomon with a baby, both claiming to be the mother. Solomon states as a "compromise" to have the baby cut in half and one half given to each women. One women agrees to these terms, while the other would rather just give the baby up instead of you know, cutting the baby in half. King Solomon then determines the woman who didn't accept these terms to be the real mother, the "compromise" being a clever ruse to reveal who the real mother was, because he know a real mother would never accept these demands.
