The initial response to Hamas was understandable, but the response has lost all proportionality. Granted, Hamas are not a legitimate government or military force, so a "just war" isn't exactly possible, but Israel is choosing to pursue a completely unjust war. The IDF has killed thousands of civilians (largely children), hit a variety of civilian infrastructures, delayed aid, and begun/continued settlement procedures in Palestine. Palestine has just as much right to exist as Israel. The Israeli government and military apparatus have, for decades, refused to acknowledge Palestinian rights and sovereignty. By not challenging the idea that "any criticism of the Israeli government is antisemitic", the West has only enabled the Palestine-Israel crisis.
