My partner said to me yesterday, "i'll go stick the kettle on' and all I thought - was that those in Ukraine are having to brave the outside just to make a fire and heat water while we can do these simple things. What they are enduring is beyond words and I only hope that this awful war comes to an end soon. My continued thoughts and prayers are with them all.

I had no personal stakes in this war since I am Irish, but once 2 of my Ukrainian classmates decided to drop their studies here in Dublin and return to Ukraine to enlist, it moved me to no end, especially due to our history here, and the problems we had with the English in the past. Ukrainians are absolute mad lads...sacrificing their lives, but making sure to blow up the important bridges to stop huge Russian tank columns. Makes my heart ache , and brings tears to my eyes. Give them hell lads! I hope to see my friends getting back to Dublin someday...Godspeed.
