You can’t attack Russia. Nukes. Unfair. but there it is. If you could attack Russia, nato would jump in. Russia would last about two weeks. Russian winter? We have an 800,000 man Ukrainian army that just loves the winter. And other countries would bring their winter overcoats, not a problem. As it is, Putin has been warned at the highest level about nukes. His people have been making statements that seem to show they understand. But every country reserves the right to nuke if it is itself invaded. Care is needed here.

This is exactly why Putin started this war. He thought it was 'heads I win, tails you lose'. The best that could happen - he would conquer Ukraine. The worst that could happen would be Russia would retreat to its own borders.
