The only possible solution i would see is some kind of truce and referendum at some point in the future - but how the heck that could be managed to get a fair reflection of the views of established Crimean residents, i really don't know

Of course, "soon" is a very general and subjective term. It appears to me that there will be pockets of strong Ruzzian occupation that will remain for a while.
