That's about the age I started having trouble with foundation as well. I'm 46 now, and I've learned over time a couple of things. Less is more, full coverage isn't as flattering, because it settles in lines you didn't know you have, and build slowly only in the areas you need to. Don't use very much on your forehead, chin, or nose. Also, don't powder except in areas you absolutely need it. Setting spray is your friend. Use it before and after applying your foundation. Hope some of these tips help.❤

The drugstore and the dollar tree is where I buy most of my foundation or make up in general I am good make up at the drugstore and they have some new product I like at the dollar tree

I am right there with you. I've been using MAC'S Studio Radiance foundation which has worked for me. I set it with loose powder and it stays all day, and looks just like your skin. Downside is no SPF, and it's $39.

@@agentsculder2451 I only use cruelty free makeup and skincare, and sadly MAC is not cruelty free so I choose not to use it for morality reasons. I’m using NYX rn and it seems to be working but yeah by the end of the day I’m a little bucket of oil so still trying to find the right one that fits all my needs

When foundation claim they have like SPF 10 or 15 is because of the pigment (generally iron oxides) that naturally give it that. It is not formulated on purpose to give sun protection, they just found out that the ingredients did that naturally and so the brands use it as an extra claim. Amazing video, very helpful! I bought the Revlon colorstay several weeks ago from your recommendation and I wish I had tried it sooner. It is my absolute favorite foundation amongst all my high end and drugstore foundations and it wears so amazingly throughout the day. I have oily skin and I love the oily combination skin version.

I LOVE these guide-style videos!! I recently bought the Catrice HD foundation and boy I was blown away! I was afraid it could be too much for summer/warmer months but it's just perfect. Foundation hack alert: if you want to make a thinner foundation thicker, just pour or pump some into a clean, sterilized or sanitized plastic jar and let it sit, uncovered. The longer you expose it to the air, the thicker it will get. I use this method with the L’Oréal True Match foundations. I use C8 as my foundation color, C6 as my concealer color, and C5 as my highlight color, all thickened using this method. It blends like a dream and the color match is impeccable!

I am 61 years old have been using the Laura Merceir Flawless Lumiere Radiance Perfecting Foundation and I LOVE IT!! I was a fan of the True Match Super-Blendable Foundation but not a fan of the reformulated one. So finding Laura Mercier's Foundation has been a blessing lol. Live in Northeast Texas and the heat is on but my Foundation withstands it 💗

Revlon Colorstay Oily/combo is just soooo good. Wears 12+ hours, controls oils, doesn’t cling to dry patches. It’s just stunning. If they ever discontinue it I’ll be devastated. I know it’s dramatic but my skin is finicky but it loves this foundation

i have that too. i found argan oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil helped a little. Steroids are so damaging on the eye, best avoided. even just vaseline helps a little & i take collagen supplements. i ended up in hospital with blepharitis and it was agony. Sending a hug because i know how horrible it is. 💯🤗🌟

This is great ! Only recently started using foundation more frequently and pretty much every day. I've dry skin, and sensitive due to (mild) rosacea. I'm also as pale as a ghost, so every foundation I try is either too yellow, too pink or wayy too white ! Honestly I pick a foundation more by it's shade than by it's formulation. If I'm lucky enough to find a shade to match me and made for dry skin, then I'm bulk buying. Love this :D

For those with dry skin, beauty blender bounce skin tint is amazing! So easy to use (just use the dropper onto a beauty blender) and looks like second skin. I also like the Fenty beauty skin tint, although I have found it quite hard to get an exact colour match and have to mix shades. Agree on the Sephora brand one - it’s fine, but nothing amazing and there are definitely better out there. I don’t think I’ve tried any of the others in this video, and will probably stick with my beauty blender one now, it’s just so perfect.

I wear the HD liquid coverage foundation from Catrice on live TV. And it. Looks. Flawless. I don't even need concealer for my dark circles, I just use a lighter shade of the same product.

What is most helpful in finding your correct shade? I find that if it looks good in the store, it will be too yellow in normal lighting. Your foundation shade always looks perfect….I want!!! 😊

I’m so glad you made this video! I’ve been wanting to try some new foundations. I used a combination of concealer and powder foundation for a long time because it just seemed quicker and I’m always running late. I started noticing how horrible my pores looked by the end of the day so I started using liquid foundation again. I am definitely going to try the Revlon foundation. I have oily/combo skin, but you really have me wanting to try the Laura Mercier foundation, too!

This is absolutely my favorite type of video! Picking foundations/concealer it’s so tricky so I always come to this vídeos to check for reviews before buying, so thanks tati! Also, I don’t know if you have ever tried it but Esscence Fit and Fresh foundation it’s an amazing one that impress me how well it lasts on the skin! I got a free sample with a purchase once and then I went and bought two of them because I couldn’t believe how well it lasted through out the day! I have normal to oily skin with some acne marks and it covers and wear really well with little product. xoxo 💗

Please please please , tell me your pick for plumping , good coverage ( melasma) , longer wearing, not glowy but not matte, sinks into skin and most important alcohol free!! 😊 I’m having the hardest time finding a foundation that won’t show my lines wrinkles and dehydration 😢
