The 2021 Key West Offshore Poker Run is underway from Haulover Inlet! This event had over 40 powerboats heading out from Haulover. Watch as these adrenaline lovers rip through the inlet with some of them reaching speeds over 100 mph! Hit the thumbs up and enjoy the video!

Those 450Rs are cool outboards but nothing beats 3000hp in inboard 572s supercharged. Raw sound of pure power. Seem to plane alot better too.

The big block V8 inboard motors are just a different class. The outboards have always played second fiddle and sound awful.

My boss owned a 37’ Criscraft with 3 Chevy 454s and bought a Baja with 4 Yamaha XTOs with 450hp each. He felt the same and got rid of the Baja. Three big block V8s just have a roar and performance that outboards just can’t match. Don’t get me wrong, the Baja was probably more high tech and sophisticated, but for straight line offshore boating the power and ride of inboards can’t be beat

@@joelg34 lol Yes! I had forgotten the Miami Vice thing. Those blown 454's have a place all their own. He also has a smaller one with an Olds 455 in a jetboat that is a shit ton of fun to ride. It's what I ski behind in the summer.

Boats like this are awesome wild ride adrenaline rush fun for about 30 minutes but........... you run out of adrenaline and they are torture. I have had boats most of my life and setting out on a day out or weekend out is always exciting but the best memories are when you are cruising slow or at anchor fishing and have time to enjoy the water and your boatmates. Everyone may have different dreams of what they think will make them happy but everyone is human and after that 30 minutes these boats don't have as much to offer. I guess its like trying to convince someone that expensive two seater sports car is cool for sure but you can't bring your friends or family with you when you go somewhere.

I know those OuterLimits and Cigerettes are more bad assed but I really love those Midnight Express center console boats with the 4 or 5 outboard motors. The center consoles look more party friendly

Got to go out on a 34 ft Baja a few times. Twin 502 blown mercs. Fastest we got on the lake was 96mph on the gps but it felt more like 150. The first time was such an adrenaline dump, fun but scared shitless at the same time lol.

V hulls will have a cabin with a head and bed. You can do plenty for a weekend on one. My 28 Cigarette has been used plenty for weekend sandbar parties and trips.

I got to drive a Baja 36 sst once for about 45 minutes. Twin 500hp Mercs and about 30k worth of outdrives and prop work. To this day, it still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. Then I think about how much he dropped at the gas station and they go away🤣 It was an experience I'll never forget
