Ultimate Reason To Buy Growing Together | The Sims 4 Growing Together

Рік томуI feel like one main selling point and the ultimate reason to buy the new The Sims 4 Growing Together pack are the Create A Sim (CAS) items for elderly Sims. With only The Sims 4 Base game it is super difficult to create realistic elderly Sims, we just do not have enough options. The new Growing Together pack came with tons of great options - some of my favorites are the headscarf with fun swatches, new comfortable sweaters and dresses that fit elder Sims, and some realistic face freckles and body freckles.

Yes, I could not elaborate more because Shorts are super short, but I agree freckles come with all the age groups irl and I love to use the base game ones for many many of my Sims of all the age groups too. 🥰 I just love to have options, and the new Growing Together freckles are different from the base game ones, and different people have different freckles too. And some of the new body ones together with moles are very realistic and make elder Sims realistic too 🤩 That is all I meant, in no way that freckles “are only for old people” 🤗

Exactly. The more I watch videos about what this pack has to offer, the more I realize it's a scam. No one should have to buy an entire expansion pack for a cute sweater, treehouse, or basic family interactions. No offense to the posters cuz it's not their fault ... but no.

Yeah bur unfortunately for simmers like me who play console, cc and mods can't be used so this is good for us. I always get packs on sale bc I too don't think this stuff should be priced ridiculously for basic realistic marks for a SIMulation game lol. Like why don't we have this stuff anyways is beyond me. Just EA cash grab

I enjoy making elders a lot more now that I have basically all the packs. They have so much life to them now. You can even have them have a science baby in their old age with someone if they didn't have kids earlier in life and still wanted to be a parent. Honestly one of my favorite life stages now.

Still not going to buy it because EA is greedy and money-hungry that’s why I only have seasons as my expansion back because I miss weather in the game And they should’ve added this to the base game instead of making us spend $35.00 It’s better than no expansion packs

I very much agree that base game is not as good as it should be and many items are unusable, but EA is still a business. If it was not for money so that they can pay the developers (and others), we would never get those new features and items. But I agree that the price of the packs should be revised. 🤓

@Maya K English is my third language, also I don't see any grammar mistakes I made. But still... As you pay for a book and the sequels, you pay for a videogame and the dlcs. We are talking about art, entertainment, NOT BASIC NECESSITY. You're not obligated to buy the dlcs, you don't need them. Art is work, and work must be paid. EA is a shitty and greedy company? Definitely. Still, the people that work for the game are working and have to be paid.

The work they put in is not reflected in the price of packs. 40$ was more than what the basegame costed even before it was made free and there are like 10 expansion packs alone.

Looks good, but some people look past aesthetics (that you barely notice, by the way) and focus more on gameplay so this does not look like an "ultimate reason"

I absolutely see your point and I agree, and always when someone asks me whether they should buy some pack I need to know what kind of player they are before recommending it. But you have to also understand titles have to be short and if I wanted to be fully fair transparent with "The ultimate reason to buy Growing Together pack for me if you are a CAS player or care about aesthetics" I can not. That is more what I can say when someone asks me on stream. It is always a game of clear point in not many characters.

(you can ignore this coment, I wrote it to "relax" a little) I need this pack so bad! But may parents won't buy it for me; well I'm sure that for may birthday they'll consider or if I do something really good. Edit: I finally got it! My dad bought it because I did nice on a test and he promised (I'm pretty bad in that subject and he is like a "chill" dad)

I wanna have that pack too but it seems pricey (last time I checked the price I remember I saw over 54 CAD) and even if my mom were to get me a card or to buy it (the option where she’s the one that buys it has like -999999999999 chances of happening lol) I still would wait til there a sale or discount or smtn because that’s far too pricey lol.

Tip for making older sims In CAS. Make their nose and ears larger, not massive just slightly large. Our ears and nose never stop growing as we age. This helps the sims look more realistic. Also smaller lips for older men, wider for women .

When you went from 2 tiles to 4: The reason it still only cost 120, is because you pay for the walls not the tiles. When you expanded it, you still only got 2 new walls as the existing back walls just moved up, thus keeping it the same price 😊

it's interesting but I'm not going to buy it Most of the things in growing together should've been included in parenthood and it's silly Like how my first pet stuff is separated from cats and dogs. The whole game is just a poorly made cash grab when it was released we didn't even have toddlers or pools or terrain tools Sims 3 is a perfect example for how it should be

Noooo, that is why I said it is fitting “not only for elderly Sims” 😁 Sweaters and long dresses are worn by elders because they are more comfy than snatched dresses and skin-tight jeans, but so are they comfy to younger people! 🤩 Does not mean those are only for elders 🤗

Old people don't suddenly acquire freckles... that's not an old person thing. Also, old people who stay in shape can wear whatever they want. As 62 year old lady who powerIifts I don't dress any differently than I did in my 30's. How old are Sims when they die of old age? Seems way too young. I have two children and a teen in my house who were orphaned when both parents lives came to a natural end.

Hi Kathy, you should maybe try to listen more exactly to what I said in the video. It is a fact many old people do acquire sun spots/freckles as they get older. Not everyone of course, but some do. We were missing these options, especially for the shoulder freckles in the game - so yes, I was excited to finally have this option for some of my older Sims. And may I say, even old people who do not stay in shape can of course wear what they want. And I never said in my video they can’t and was very careful with the wording. I said most of the older people around me (my family, their friends etc.) don’t wear very revealing and colorful clothes as they are older and go rather for very comfortable options, which Growing Together offers. Not once did I imply this is what older people should or have to wear. You should maybe learn not to take things too personally.

@@SpiceQwin I was not at all offended and did not take anything personally. Also, I meant no offense. Just looking around these days at older people most don't dress in these frumpy styles, not even my my 85 year old mother and her cohort, so I'm actually a little surprised they would be promoting these looks that are no longer typical. But I don't mean to take away from your enjoyment of them, and the more options the better. I was personally annoyed when my Sims hair turned gray, so I went in and changed the hair color back to the original shade, just as I color my own gray. Maybe my reaction is as someone who is desperately trying to hang on to youth for as long as possible and I want the same for my older Sims who die way too soon! I am very pale and have some age spots but they are not cute and I do not equate them with freckles, which I also think are cute and suitable for Sims of all ages.

Yeah the cas items are cute as ALWAYS. But i need gameplay. This is supposed to be a simulation game but ea only focuses on it being "aesthetic" and especially cheap to make.
