@@kylee6051 Spoiler alert if you haven't seen S2 yet. In S2 Allison said to some soldiers "I heard a rumor that I blew your mind" and their heads exploded. So apparently her rumors are not limited to only changing people's minds, but also their bodies' physical states.

I think what he did to Vanya was rational, in his eyes she was a threat, someone capable of killing and is very dangerous. He didn’t know what her trauma was or that keeping her locked in that room would cause her to snap.

@@tiki92090 If she couldn't undo them her daughter would have stayed asleep for all eternity. The suggestion can be broken within reason either through physical inability - Allison's daughter wasn't necessarily tired but her body could and did rest and she clearly woke up. Because well after a good night's rest she would have to. Or by having another psychological stimuli overlap or over turn the suggestion. Patrick for instance falling OUT of love with her.

Also I could've spoiled Game of thrones because I read the books I guess it's OK to tell what's gonna happen if you don't know for completely sure. And btw some people read marvel comics before and had partly an idea what's going to happen in Infinity war / Endgame I guess if they had a theory they could just strait up tell random people about it, that sertinly wouldnt have affected their experience. What you said wasn't really a big spoiler I personally didn't really cared about something that small. But it WAS a Spoiler why do you defend it? I mean even if it will not happen in the show it was still a little spoiler for the comics. And as I said I don't think anyone will have a big problem with it, you don't even have to mark that comment with a spoiler warning in my opinion (even though it wouldn't cost you much), but still it was a spoiler lol. Luther is has super strength, Diego can throw knives and bend them to his will, Allison can tell people to do anything she wants them too, Klaus can talk to the dead and also summon them to help him in fights, Five can teleport around and time travel, Ben has these large tentacles that he uses to ravage people with, And Vanya is super op

@@briannguen503 correct to a point but with clarification: Luther: super strength (weakest power) but he's also quite resilient Diego: knife throwing powers, can hold breath infinitely Allison: ability to control emotions or will (dumbed down a little in the show), technically "reality manipulation" that shifts to her will Klaus: can talk to the dead, can summon, speak to AND resurrect the dead, and if going by the comics/potential powers, he'll save the world with telekinesis, levitation, possessing people, projecting his spirit, etc Five: teleportation and time travel within limits Ben: can summon other worldly demons that inhabit his body and cause him pain - TYPICALLY tentacle form, not always, he doesn't 'have' tentacles Vanya: can manipulate soundwaves to destroy, cut or blast things, pretty shit power even if strong

This is the best show I've seen come out of Netflix, so far. I haven't felt this deeply, emotionally invested in a story - or all the characters' own interwoven stories and struggles - in years. All of which this show pulls off with nothing short of pure grace.

Ok this is really far fetched, I guess a conspiracy theory, but...what if each of the kids got their powers based on how their mothers suddenly got pregnant? Like I’m pretty sure Vanya was the child of that Russian woman we saw at the start. She built up feelings for that other guy she was talking to, which is maybe why Vanya has powers that are dependent on her emotions. Let’s say Luther’s mother was an athlete or bodybuilder, maybe that’s how he got his strength. Or Allison’s mother could easily charm and manipulate people to get her way, hence Allison’s rumour powers. Haha idk, just an idea

So, they said that their mom was the one who gave their names because their father didn't care about that, what makes me believe that for some reason she didn't gave him one, maybe she did it after he was missing, I confess I don't remember if in the flashbacks they already were called by names, Reginal just called him by their numbers. Five is like his 'name'.

So.... the baby that was shown in the first flashback of season 1 is probably vanya, right? Well, I was re-watching the show in preparation for season two, and I noticed that just after Reginald sees baby Vanya the very first thing he does is exclaim “extraordinary” , and I think that’s a pretty cool detail.
