@@davisparkour the sexual tone is very toned down after the first few episodes. Also after the first few episodes it's largely used for comedy and a lot of the scenes are very funny as a result. Also it's one of the most interesting and enjoyable animes i've ever seen.

The author is known for his ecchi series BUT food wars was written and published as a Shonen cooking serie, with the same codes, types of storylines, arcs, stereotypical characters, etc. as a regular Shonen serie.
