The Queen Mary transported 810,000 thousand troops to and from the US and England. Never in danger of U-Boat attack. She was too fast! The 20 ft. Wide, 35 ton screws turned at 2 rpm. For about 30 knots. The screws are 82% efficient! That rivals the efficiency of modern US nuclear submarines, which are the most efficient ever designed.
