Yeah it's weird, even though Illit were made in a somewhat similar fashion, somehow they feel so incredibly... staged/manufactured? and like they're being shoved down our throats everywhere, like it feels forced in comparison to UNIS. Don't get me wrong, they're really talented and I love their debut song too but I don't find them as relatable and genuine as UNIS

​@@SnowClover no because you're so real w this, i also feel this way about them. i don't hate nor dislike them as a group but i think they give a vibe of staged group or at least how they were produced. afterall there's rumors about their line up being staged/planned from the beginning of the show. either way both illit n Unis are both power rookies so i hope people would stop fighting n compering the girls.

I feel the same way. It's interesting that UNIS gives off a feeling of a rookie who debuted in an era of 2nd/3rd gen groups. This is why I was instantly a fan when I heard their songs. Maybe partly because they debuted in a start-up company that doesn't have an existing group that people know of. The thought of being the first-ever group reminds me of the times when Wonder Girls, or even 2NE1 and SNSD at the time when K-pop is still not that big, has to work their ass off to reach the top without having to rely on other groups popularity or whatsoever. Also another example is BTS and look at them now. I love that they are making their own name and not being a shadow to someone or being compared to other groups because of their style as a whole. They are beautifully different and I'm confident that they're slowly and surely gonna get big in the future.

@@SnowClover here's my take for Illit. I think we all know Illit is a very talented group. They have everything. The marketing, just from being at the Hybe label with massive followers. They have senior groups leading KPOP these days so whenever Hybe debuts a group, of course, the fans from other groups in the same label would get curious and that's because it's someone from Hybe. The outcome will always be, since it's from Hybe, the same label as their favs, then they will also support it. It's been always like that so it's no surprise why they get instantly famous. However, the only thing I was a little disappointed about is, that they remind me so much of New Jeans. I was hoping that Hybe would create something new for them. They are better than that. As someone who loves New Jeans, Illit's debut, left a sour taste for me. I mean, we already have NJS for that genre, so why create another one. The originality was just not there. So yeah, I just hope they make their own style cuz they have so much potential. This is why I prefer UNIS more.
