Each of those companies, obviously in addition to a lot of disposable content, employs some of the most talented creatives in their field and has produced some of this era’s most exemplary - and yes, brilliantly written - programming. Guess you haven’t watched Bojack Horseman, Maid, Andor, Atlanta, Severance or Pachinko then?

@@claudiam2474 lol *lies*. HBO is the best in terms of putting out consistently great content. But to say those other platforms don't have at least one show that will "stay in the history" is wrong. Like, I don't even have Apple TV, I watched Severance illegally, because it's so amazing. Better than some HBO shows.

​@@guysimchony309 I love Severance and enjoyed Andor & the first ~2 seasons of Bojack (before it became too insufferably on-the-nose and mawkish), but there's a distinct distance in terms of subtlety and craft in writing/characterisation between those shows and White Lotus. HBO does indeed have more heavy-handed shows like The Wire and GoT, but shows like White Lotus & Succession are a display of truly refined, nuanced dialogue and storytelling (and much richer, deeper comedy: Curb, Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal, How To with John Wilson). The owners of HBO are just as much parasites upon the backs of workers as the more obviously cynical Apple/Amazon/Disney owners, but they *do* have discerning taste for (and commitment to) serious art. Donald Glover makes my skin crawl so I'll never try Atlanta but thanks for the Pachinko recommendation. I also plan to watch Maid soon, half out of a desire for working-class stories, half out of an infatuation with Margaret Qualley

Mike and Jennifer are friends and they went on a trip and she was so over the top during the trip he got the idea for white Lotus and Mike actually based Tanya on her. She stated that in an interview. However she did say he made Tanya even more weird and ofcourse unstable so its the core essence of Jennifer but very much embelished. So you are not wrong. She also didn't have to audition since he wrote that part for her and it is loosely based on her.

technically.. they never revealed it was her they found. they only implied it. And i heard in the last clip.. she is opening her eyes under water.. so maybe she just knocked herself out temporarilly and was able to escape.. and instead of going back to the hotel.. she took the boat somewhere else for safety?

@@RicoHarding i disagree.. they imply it was tanya. they only showed the legs and hi.. and as for her bering underwater.. they also only imply a connection.. her being underwater with her eyes closed could be from something else or nothing at all.. they don't conclusively connect it to the body in the water.. such as them showing her face and saying who she is. they only refer to this person in the water as a "guest"" of the hotel. never do any of them say it was tanya.. If you have more specific connection in the scenes or dialogue of the actors .. please share that with me.

You see the body wearing the exact same dress, tanya was wearing, and you see her face aswell, while she floats besides daphne? The is in broad daylight, so tanya must have been in the water all night.. Can you watchmthe final episode again?

@@RicoHarding i didn't see her face floating at the same scene.. it was only implied that it was her that was found on the beach water. And someone said they saw tanya's eys open up in the under water clip. I would have to go be and rewatch to see if her eyes open up in that under water clip.
