Why would anyone bother to do a job that's taxed at 60% if you can earn a bit less and be taxed at 20%? You will also get these high earners going to other countries where tax is less, so you'll have a 'brain-drain' to also contend with.

There really needs to be a law that holds politicians to their campaign promises say: withhold all payment for their position, no government pension and their accounts combed over for any bribes or other forms of corruption until they complete their promises.
