As a retired nail tech of over 25 yrs... you are amazing! Her natural nails were HORRIBLE, very misshapen.. but a lot of ppl are so happy and proud of their long nails that they don't want to cut them off (even if they look crazy lol) So thank you for getting her to let you start from scratch and get some tips on there. They came out gorgeous 😍 And girl, under an hour? That's awesome. Very impressive 👏 I loved doing nails 💅 I'm still obsessed with nail polish and giving myself mani's and pedi's 😊❤

I have a nail tech next to my house but the don’t say the prices until it’s done so it costed 200 dollars for my mom, sister and me (my sister also got her toenails painted) there is no excuse for that price
@Mulpiix10 місяців тому
@@senc4566 urgh I can imagine what a shock it was. That's another point 😔 good nail techs cost a little more. I remember I was in a salon where like 20 Asians worked and it only costed like $30. Then I went to a more professional, she was russian and the mother of my sister's friend. I paid around $50 which was quite a shock for me too 🥺 but she did a so much better job. I think that's also what you pay for 😩 but sometimes I'm wondering why it's so expensive. Sure, you have to pay for the products, but I know that they aren't that expensive. I used to buy my own gel stuff from a common brand. Yes of course, you also have to pay for the nail techs work, and yes, I understand that they're rising the prices to live because they can only have one customer at a time... But unfortunately the prices are just too high for a normal human being 😂😭
@user-jz7gt4ko6v10 місяців тому
I mean she’s good but it’s all just regular manicure you can get in literally any salon?? Or is it the case only for my country (Russia)? I heard that beauty industry outside Russia is much worse but those shown in the video are just regular procedures, nothing special 🤔
@Mulpiix10 місяців тому
@@user-jz7gt4ko6v for me (Germany) it's really bad. Nail salons are either big salons with at least 15-20 Asian women, or private women who are mostly russian. The private ones are way more expensive though. And the "Asian salons" are cheaper (still at least $30 though) but the quality is really not good unfortunately. I would love to visit the private ones because I know their work is amazing, but I just can't afford it 😭 Edit: and the prices are for normal acrylic/gel nails without any special designs

Nails can curve up or down due to certain deficiencies, fungus, or serious ailments like heart issues, or cancers like lung cancer. Great job!

The curvature starts at the free edge, which suggests it's more likely from pressure from holding things. I do love how knowledgeable you are! Not many people pay attention to these things and often cause more harm than good!

Eu não sabia disso. Até ir a minha médica da asma e ela perguntar como estão as minhas unhas? Or it can be as simple as an iron deficiency...we had a patient thst had spooning nails and she was anemic and has lupus... which both can cause nail curvature. But iron deficiency is normally the main cause. I'm pretty sure she's been checked out and I'm sure the nail tech asked before doing them.

I started growing mine out. Best decision ever and honestly looks more classy & get way more compliments. Starting off I just shaped them, hardener and left them alone. They grew out so fast. It’s also good meditation & self care time for myself. I’m mad thinking about all the money I spent for trendy nails when my naturals are perfect.
@meganyamk17210 місяців тому
Just remember to keep them in the right shape. I had nails that were growing downward, and once I started doing the right shape, they started growing normally. Also knowing what to do if bacteria infection happens is essential too, not just for cuticles but whole nail process :3

That's exactly the reason why I personally can't grow my own nails that long (thumb and pointer finger nails point downwards, middle finger nail grows straight and my ring finger and pinky nail drow upwards) and people never understood why I preferred extensions rather than growing my own nails even though they are pretty sturdy and would actually grow very long naturally. But I tried it once and it looked awfully frumpy. So whenever I don't wanna wear nail extensions, I need to keep my nails quite short. Lovely work, beautiful design, lovely client.

Anastasia! Help me! I have the opposite problem. My nails grow down, and on those nails, my hyponychium is receding! Only since wearing long nails. Ive always had really long nail beds, but with longer nails, they got shorter! If you could guide me, I'd be truly indebted to you. 🥺 My hyponychium has receded only since wearing long nails, primarily on my dominant pointer finger. It is the finger that I use the most, but it is also the nail that grows downwards the most. I try *very* hard not to use my nails as tools. It was my furst suspicion, so I'm very disciplined about it now! But my hyponychium keeps receding. This begs the question- Could the receded hyponychium be from the leverage on my nails because they are growing down? Or am I possibly doing something wrong structurally? They're not crazy long or anything, around the average length of yours or shorter. I often file them up after a delay.. rather than right as they start to grow down. Is it also possible that I'm not removing enough of the underside of the nail with my Efile to re-create an adequate c-curve in between fills? What would you do? Have you had this problem with any of your clients' nails that grow down? I feel like I've tried everything, but always at my regular fill time. Is it possible that I just need to do fills more regularly, because the nails grow down? Or do you think it's more likely that I'm not creating adequate structure/ C-curve as I file them upwards? If you know, it would help me so much. I've never had a receding hyponychium before. My nail beds have always been very long. But really no nail technicians in my area do structured gel manicures, so they don't really know either! Help! 😣
@misz310 місяців тому
I would recommend talking to a doctor about your nails! Often they grow up or down as a sign of a medial condition or vitamin deficiency! If the doctor can help fix it that's great, otherwise they can tell you whether or not wearing fake nails is safe for you. Because with nails growing down they might just not be. I'd not get fake nails done until seeintg a doctor, I'm sorry that sucks!
@barbaracrudup326 місяців тому
@@misz3Please stop telling people that it is often. You are causing people unnecessary anxiety. Mental health is important as well. Most people with upward or downward growing have had this since birth because of the nail bed itself. You should mention this is more commonly a health issue when nails start to grow upward or downward later. Most people are not gonna have identical nails beds and grow in different ways. So implying that because someone doesn't have perfect growing nails means they are terminally I'll is not cool
@LaurenPebble5 місяців тому
@@barbaracrudup32nails that do weird things is commonly a sign of illness or vitamin deficiency though. The colour of your natural nail (not including staining from polish) can indicate health issues, how weak or strong they are, if they have ridges and what direction the ridges go, flexible or stiff. The condition of your nails can tell you a lot about your health. In this case, yes it sounds like wearing fake nails is what caused the changes, but other problems shouldn’t be discounted without seeing a doctor.
@barbaracrudup325 місяців тому
@@LaurenPebble not discounting them..but throwing people in to a panic because they have had upturned or downward growing nails their whole life which is not that odd is not cool. As I said seeing sudden change is more of a cause of alarm than someone who has it all their life.
