At 2:55 you can see that it's blowing the landings on components. You can even see the solder deform. At least thats what it looks like. The fix would be repairing the landing or installing jumpers. Not a fun repair.

Basically, no practical application exists in this regarding testing aside from your electronics being hit from lightning your desktop data is still recoverable regardless of hardware malfunction.

This video didn’t affect any outcome though. There are billions of high value electronics that are wasted every day in accidents or deliberate sabotage. Also a shocking amount of perfectly usable goods stays lost in warehouses and other storage mediums for years and then people find them 10-20 years later.

This is one of the things where poor and wealthy people's worldviews differ quite much.
