Imagine being selected because of DEI to provide the valedictorian speech from "100 other equally qualified candidates", and then using DEI as a crutch to complain about having the speech canceled at a PRIVATE university

She has a 3.98 GPA in Biomedical Engineering and is highly active in volunteer organizations on campus. She earned the right to speak as a Valedictorian through merit and it just so happened that in spite of coming from a background that was under resourced she excelled exponentially. She is highly deserving and just because she is a minority it doesn’t mean her or any of us are less qualified or merely there because of “DEI”. Get your facts Straight before you speak ignorance!

I have my facts straight, perhaps you should generate a better opinion than one that's only informed through the artificial Marxist lens of oppressor vs oppressed. She's one of MANY equally qualified students, regrettably one with an anti-Semitic worldview. Pick a better student, do better.

@@danielkim7841 How is wanting to end the annihilation of Palestinians radical? How is wanting to end the oppressive tactics of the government of Israel radical? How are advocating for human rights radical? And the criteria for being a valedictorian is not to go through someone’s views on Israel and Palestine, or go through their social media/interrogate them on their thoughts about social or political issues. As it shouldn’t be! Even if the person was a pro-Trump supporter on their instagram. They should still be allowed to speak if they earned it, despite what I or anyone else feels about their personal views.

At this point in time, history, why would USC pick a Muslim who is for the abolishment of Israel as a Country, and supports Antisemitic, Anti Israel views? They could have picked some normal student out of the 200 or so who qualified, but somehow they picked someone who would cause division, disunity? It seemed initially intentional I think by USC to pick her. They I think are saying they didn't know about her social media posts. I don't know if that is true or not.
