Owner of a 2018 here. This one should have the CREC version of the 3.0, so both multiport and direct injection, which means less likely to need carbon cleaning. Got myself a 20173.0T Exclusive Edition. only missing opt is the B&O - no biggie. No issues, reliable, I do my oil changes every 7k kms to 8k kms and drives like new all the time. Drive it hard at least once a week (redline it every month) and your engine will remain free from carbon build up - it's a race derived engine designed to be driven fast. Had my transmission fluid changed @101k kms and shifts much better - always do this every 90k-100k kms - your transmission will always be happy and no more jerking. Did rear diff fluid change myself - easy peasy. Dealer (including Audi) states no need to change fluid for tranny,diffs... because it'll last the "life of the vehicle".... that's a lie. look up the intervals for ZF transmission service. The diffs, depends if your towing or not - I assumed the previous owner did - best do preventive maintenance than finding out down the road you have to shell out thousands for a new transmission and/or differentials - because there is no way as an owner to know if the oil is burnt, or gears kaput.Only issue, do an alignment every year because it's weight will shred your tires unevenly - I forgot to do it last year and having it done 2 more days from now.Paddles are useful when you feel like driving like a racer.Only fluids I gotta have changed, front diff, center diff, coolant and brake fluid.

Greetings from Germany, really nice video. 🙂👍 I happen to be the fortunate owner of a 2017 SQ7 V8 Diesel with roughly 95,000 km on the odometer. Generally speaking, it is a really nice and reliable car provided you do the required maintenance and have an eye on the regular service intervals. I had no major issues with mine except a small glitch within the DEF/AdBlue system, which our local Audi dealer/garage easily fixed. Nevertheless, I'd like to offer some advice regarding the automatic transmission: Audi advertises that with regard to the transmission fluid/oil, no service is required over the vehicle's entire lifespan; however, ZF recommends that one should contemplate changing the transmission fluid when the car has done around 100,000 km (or around 60,000 mi) to ensure the transmission's proper function and prolong its lifespan. Since my car has already done around 95k km, I'm thinking of changing the fluid to be on the safe side, which should cost me around €700.

I do frequently travel. sometimes 2k miles a month and sometimes 4k miles but taking care of it too but at a fix schedule like taking it to workshop and checking if all good. From my experience, they’re actually fairly reliable. But as all cars age, they require more maintenance as parts start to degrade. Typically German cars are just more expensive and a little more complicated to work on, requiring specialty tools. And, as a whole, people tend to stay away from older German cars because a lot of them ARE problematic. But this also means that there are less people buying them, which lowers their resale value.

Yes, the Lexus will be way more reliable but if you drive both you'll probably end up getting the Q7 if equipment, power and ride quality is your priority. But does it not happen if not taken care of frequently and little extra efforts than caring for ford, gmc, chevy, or lincoln? Like does these problems start appearing under 3-4 years of a brand new ownership with warranty and well insured? Of course we can't expect Japanese durability but still these things seem to be much more unreliable which is concerning me but i'm confused with how much miles they put on before they mention their cars are unreliable. If these things you mentioned happens after 100k for me it's bullet proof (for me) tbh. I hope people can help me make a decision for buying it. I love audi because i found it yet equipped with best suspension ever even as compared to range rover i've carefully observed the body movement of same reviewer in different vehicles almost same speed and exactly the same place. I've was blow by this test by a Russian ukposts.info/have/v-deo/koCQi3yksKWKz4k.html also there are many other places i was a big fan of Range Rover

@@S.M.HassanShah this car I been involved with was a regular Audi dealer ship car and then all of a sudden engine lights on and it when back to find it needed 10k worth of work and the list goes on. I've been turning wrenches for 45 years I wouldn't put that money in something that needs that much work ever. And it's not worth anything the way it is so you just lost 40k out the door on a car that known for these problems stay away find something else.

@@scooter1391 What would you suggest if i only keep this car for under 80k miles and do frequent cleaning and maintenance will it sill break under 3 years?

@@S.M.HassanShah Well from your video your in a state that snows so I suspect that they use salt for the roads there and if so your exhaust system will fail sooner. the answer your question YES it will break down from something like a alternator witch only a dealer ship can install because they need to be programmed to the car they one I helped with cost him 1600 dollars for a alternator at dealership that high way robbery in my book, like I said say away from this car it's just not worth it.
