I love how in the trailer you see Carnage morphing Cassady rather than covering him unlike Venom, who's just an armor, its like there's only Carnage, no Cletus, just Carnage.

The deal with Carnage is that they are so deeply bonded that there is no "They" or "We" but only him, also Carnage can regenarate from near death with blood.

I love how Venom is freaked out by Carnage cuz he's red like they probably don't have that color of symbiote where he's from so he's just immediately like "DIFFERENT! SCARY!"

Carnage is the son of venom. When venom broke Eddie out of prison a bit dropped on him, bonding to cletus’s blood, from an open cut on his hand. Hence why he is red, as he’s bonded to the red blood cells, even being completely bonded, unlike venom. And even though in the comic he still forms as an armor like venom, himself shifting with carnage is an amazing way to show their superior level of bonding. As venoms son he is stronger, faster, more resistant, and heals far far better.

That Theory about Carnage is awsome, like it makes sense why his transformations and abilities are way different than Venom's, but there is actually a Carnage Symbiote, at 2:34 you can actually see the Carnage Symbiote which appears to be talking to Kasady, but still Carnage being a Symbiote Infection/Mutation still is awsome and could be possible

The thing I like about the transformation shows how Cletus is one with the symbiote so he fully transforms whereas Eddie is just covered by venom.

The basic gist can be extracted from their iconic lines such as "We are Venom" and "I am Carnage". One being a pseudo Symbiote while the other being a new organism or a parasite.

The Sequel to the Maximum Carnage video game called Separation Anxiety is 2 players and is the story the 1st Venom movie was somewhat based on with the Life Foundation and Riot. Its both on Super nintendo and Genesis

in the original comics, venom's symbiont spawned during a point where cletus cassidy was about to shiv eddie. in the breakout of eddie by his symbiote cletus got cut, the spawn off venom entered cletus through that and the became bonded at a blood level. hense the red and black of carnage. the symbiote is part of his blood. That is also why many times when Carnage is to be released Cletus has to draw his own blood.

So in the maximum Carnage comics (or well, the comics right before that set it up) the Carnage symbiote got into Cletus Kassidy's bloodstream through a cut and bonded with him on a cellular level. 1 single symbiotic being. That's what makes him be able to do all the insane fluid movements and making holes in himself to let the bullets thru, etc. Otherwise, like in Venom's case and even the villain in the last movie, the host is still within the symbiote and can be hurt, pulled out and separated. 2 separate entities. All that to say, yes it is within him so the different transformation has credence

In the comics the Carnage symbiote is an offspring of the Venom symbiote (symbiotes can reproduce asexually), Cletus gets it after Venom brakes Eddie out of jail and accidentally leaves Carnage, not knowing it was pregnant. That “aggression” and irritability Venom is dealing with in the trailer might be from being pregnant with Carnage, basically symbiote cravings. So when Cletus Kasady bites Eddie, the Carnage symbiote just hops over to the nearest host. As for Venoms “Oh shit! That is a red one!” It might be that red symbiotes just don’t exist where Venoms from, or the red indicates something dangerous.

I keep on forgetting people didn't read maximum carnage. The carnage symboite is made through cletus' blood and he's completely bonded. It is the child of venom transferred to him. Also the girl is Shiek she's Carnage's girl. You'd be surprised the amount of Venom lore that doesn't need Spiderman. Spiderman was really only needed for his birth and part of his motivation.

What I got from this is venom while being aggressive got bit by Cassidy then the aggression and some symbiotie that was in his blood went into Cassidy.

My grade school had a Magazine Drive as a fundraiser every year, where we had to hock subscriptions to friends/family/neighbors. I always got to pick a subscription for myself, so one year I subscribed to "Amazing Spider-Man" because I couldn't believe a comic book was mixed in with the regular magazines. (Suckers!) By sheer coincidence, it was the year that they introduced Carnage, so I ended up owning the 3-part series that contains his origin story and the team-up between Venom and Spidey to take Carnage down. It's no "Phoenix Saga", but still... 😲🍀😲

In the comics, Carnage is a offspring of Venom that bonds to Casady through his blood stream which is why he's the color red, so he's basically red venom but crazier, in this I'm guessing Casady is infected by the symbiote and his body basically becomes the symbiote instead of it being a different entity

Originally the Carnage Symbiote is basically the Venom symbiote’s child iirc. That’s how it’s talked about at least in the comics. It’s a really tiny detail but god I wish Carnage had his black teeth and not white teeth. Just looks like Red Venom. Carnage always felt a lil more unique than that to me but oh well I guess 😞

The differences between the physical structures of the symbiotes is really cool. Venom is more smooth skin over muscles while Carnage is raw sinew and bone.

Ima guess her scream will help carnage stay in place cause the pitch and symbiote are weak to it so her shriek makes him stable or crazy and venom attacks some tag team action

If I remember correctly, in one of the animated shows of Spider-Man it shows that Carnage comes to be by a small bit of the symbiote getting into a cut on Cletus. So the difference, I think, between the two is that Carnage is literally a part of Cletus through his blood while Venom is a separate bonded entity to Eddie. I feel like venom is kinda like Aiden from Beyond Two Souls in the sense that he has that same kind of bond with Eddie that Aiden has with Jodie.

The reason the carnage transformation looks different than venom is because the carnage symbiote is fused with Cleatus Cassidy's blood so it's more or less literally a part of him, which is why it morphs his actual body (just in case anyone else was wondering)

In the comics Carnage is bonded to Kassidy's blood and that's why Carnage tends to refer to himself as singular while Venom shares the body and refers to himself as we or us
